This is a bit premature but I thought it was cool, so just bringing it to everyones attention if you cared to comment or didn't know.

Very pre-mature! LMAO. The Lakers are also trying to go 4-0 for the best overall record in the NBA and we are currently the highest scoring team as well if Im not mistaken.

Imagine if Odom won the MVP this season by producing these type of numbers all season long. How ironic would that be?

What I find funny is Iverson still scoring over 30 points a game. I remember him criticizing himself about shooting to much and wanting to re-invent his game to be more of a distributor. At least he's shooting over 50% right now and is still dishing out 8 assists per game.

I love the idea of having Odom being our number 1 threat for most of the game, it takes the load off Kobe. It also allows Kobe to have fresher legs during the 4th quarter and in the clutch.

I bet Kobe would be pissed to say the least.

I dont think Kobe will be pissed. He's all about winning championships and encouraging his teamates to step up. I believe his leadership is giving Odom some strong motivation to take it up a notch.

He might not show that he is pissed, at least not to Odom, but I bet he'd be boiling inside.

I dont believe that. Kobe and Odom have a very tight friendship. If anything, I bet he would be happy for Odom after all the things he has gone through this past season.

I'm with Bahir, I think Kobe would be pretty upset.

This is his team, and if Odom won an MVP award, the media would label Kobe as a failure, as a horrible leader, and as not needed. That would drive him insane. No matter how happy Kobe would be for Odom, and he would be, his ego and pride would get the best of him.

The Lakers are winning. He know's he can trust his teammate. He know's this team has huge potential. Why would he be mad?

On a team level, I think he'd be happy, it's on a personal level that I question.

Nope! Deep inside he would... imagine... after some stellar years for kobe and he still doesnt have even 1 trophy... and if this year is lamar's year he'd be pissed if lamar gets it just for 1 season... i just hope lamar stays consistent

I think Kobe is all about winning the championship, but it has to be on his terms....if he didn't care about his role, he would have joined the Clippers who with Brand Kaman and Maggette had a much better chance of winning a championship than Lamar and Brian Grant. Also I think he was talking to Denver and then he'd have to share spotlight with Melo

I think the media would frustrate Kobe over all the articles and it would be big talk among nba followers so he wouldn't be able to escape it.

It would make sense that Kobe would get a tad jealous if Lamar were to get an MVP award.

Of problems to have, it would be a relatively good problem to have. [IMG]

Kobe won't be pissed. It's nice to know someone else could score for LA. Anyways, definitely premature as Odom won't lead the league in ppg.

Yeah Odom's nickname "the goods" (correct me if I'm wrong) should be changed to BIG O, he will be next big O and get the MVP and Championship...I wish. Kobe wouldn't be mad at Odom winning MVP. He's not that evil, IMO.
