    [IMG][IMG] VS [IMG][IMG]

<font color="DarkGreen">Luke Ridnour will be starting at point guard for the Sonics tonight. Luke is a talented point guard and may cause some problems for Smush Parker. Luke is a smart player, and with guys like Lewis and Allen on the wings, he will make many plays for the Sonics tonight. Hopefully Smush will keep him in check early on.

Ray Allen will be one of the key players to watch for tonight. Allen is one of the deadliest shooters in the league, and can light it up from anywhere down the court. Our defense will have a tough task tonight. Let's just hope Allen doesn't get too hot.</font>

<font color=""Purple"">Smush Parker has been a bit of a disappointment thus far in the season. He has looked lazy early on, and doesn't seem focused at all on defense. With Jordan Farmar playing as well as he has, if Smush doesn't start to show some urgency, his starting job may be on the line.

Kobe Bryant returns for his second game of the season. Expect him to play around 25 minutes tonight as he gets back in game shape. </font>

    [IMG][IMG][IMG] VS [IMG][IMG][IMG]

<font color=""DarkGreen"">The Sonics possess another dangerous shooter in Rashard Lewis. Lewis, just like Allen, can light it up anywhere on the court. He has terrific range and has the ability to stretch the offense. Lewis gives the Sonics another offensive weapon, and let's hope the Laker's keep him in check.

Former Clippers Chris Wilcox resigned with the Sonics this off-season, and may be poised for a break out year. Wilcox is still a very young player, but he has shown the potential to be a very good player in the league. Wilcox is tough and strong, and not afraid of any contact.

Mouhamed Sene was the Sonic's first round pick in this year's NBA Draft. It is still too early on to determine what type of factor Sene will have on the game. But Sene was drafted for his defensive abilities, and maybe we will get the opportunity to see some of it tonight.</font>

<font color=""Purple"">Luke Walton has really improved for the Lakers, and is now in the starting lineup. Walton has really shown his ability to run the triangle, and make plays for the offense. He has also developed a terrific go to move on offense. Walton will be key for the Lakers tonight if they want a win.

Lamar, Lamar, Lamar. Where do I start. After experiencing some very drastic events in the off-season, many questioned Lamar's focus on the game of basketball. But so far, Lamar has only used it as a fuel under his skin. In the first two games of the season, Lamar has really shown what type of player he can really become. But with Kobe back tonight, will Lamar continue to play at this level? Will Lamar continue to be aggressive?

Andrew Bynum has been another pleasant surprise for the Lakers thus far into the season. Bynum had a terrific season opener, and showed everyone why the Lakers decided to take him 10th overall in the 05 Draft. But, being only 19 years old, Bynum will have his ups and downs this season, and will most likely be very inconsistent. Given the Laker's injuries at the big man spot, they are very thin at front court. Let's just hope Bynum can give us a productive night, and gives us a big presence in the middle.</font>

The Sonics may be talented at the offensive end, but I'm taking the Lakers tonight. Kobe should be back, and although he may not be 100%, his teammates will all be out there trying to win him this one. Lakers win, 97-85

Lakers started the game off hot, but have slowed down tremendously. Let's hope after the half they start playing with the same type of energy as before. We're only down by like 8 points, so it's still anyones game. Remember, we came back from 19 against the Suns, so this game is anything but done

They are beating us with a good shooting night. I think they've hit more than 60% of their 3 pointers. Any team would be hard to beat if they are shooting the lights out from the 3 point line.

It's hard to beat a team back to back, and the Sonics manipulated the Lakers with the pick and roll. The guards weren't fighting through the screen and once Ray Allen and Shard got hot from the outside, it opened up the offense for the rest of the players.

The Lakers looked fantastic offensively in the 1st quarter, but they weren't taking care of the Sonics defensively. Shooting over 80% and only leading by 5 points, isn't a good sign, because you're not going to maintain that level of offensive efficiency throughout a game.

Kobe Bryant had a terrible game defensively. I'm not sure if the overplay was by design, but he kept shading Ray Allen to go left and Allen found easy shots by just taking two dribbles left, and getting his shot off, before the rotation got there.

The Lakers also had too, many turnovers and the Sonics capitalized each time. The turnovers gave Seattle a 38 point 3rd quarter and put the game out of reach.

I thought the rotations were weird tonight, especially for Bynum and Turiaf. They only played 18 minutes each and the Lakers went with small ball to battle back.

The one positive is Sasha shot the ball a lot better tonight, but he was getting embarrassed on the defensive end by Ray Allen. On one play Allen cupped the ball, faked right, and Sasha bit hard and took himself completely out of the play, leading to a wide open Ray Allen 3 pointer.

Jordan Farmar also had a nice game for the Lakers. He has that tear drop shot down, and did a decent job on Earl Watson. I really like the confidence and poise Farmar plays with, and he always seems to be johnny on the spot for loose balls.

If anyone watched the game, he would've just been pissed off with the stupid ass substitutions Phil made that led to a momentum shift to the Sonics for the rest of the game.
In the 2nd quarter he rested BOTH Kobe and Lamar even though they were working well together, and when he put Bynum on the bench (who was perfect from the field), he put in cook instead of turiaf. I just don't understand why such an "intilligent" coach would have such stupid ass rotations. I would rather see Rambis coach the team again and Phil should just go back and sit on his useless ass.

I agree, the rotations tonight were completely random and didn't make much sense in the context of the game. I know PJax has been known to experiment a lot during a season and doesn't mind losing a few games to figure things out. The other possibility could have been the Lakers overlooking this game because they were killing Seattle early on in both meetings. The starters let up, allowing Seattle to close the scoring gap, and PJax was forced to try several rotations looking for a spark.

Or it could be a case of Andrew Bynum being tired and saving him for the showdown against Minnesota on Tuesday.

HEY BRO, I was saying the same sh!t to my friend, I HONESTLY believe Phil Jackson was the reason for our loss last night.

He allowed the Sonics to go on a 22-4 run, and yes I mean HE.

22-4, I can't believe it. It's one thing to let your players play out of the struggle, but you don't keep the same line up in the game that is getting man handled by the defense for that extended period of the time.

Come on phil, get a clue.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Popcorn Machine:</div><div class="quote_post">It's usually a good thing to shoot 49% as a team. But when you allow the opponent shoot 52%, it doesn't matter much. After a good 1st quarter, it was all down hill from there as they had no defense for the Sonics offense. Ray Allen, Luke Ridnour, and Rahard Lewis had big games for Seattle.</div>

    Game Flow

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mike@LG:</div><div class="quote_post">Against Seattle, the Lakers started off hot, going 4 of 4 behind the arc and building an early lead. There was clean triangle execution; crisp ball-movement and spacing. The lead didn?t hold.

The triangle execution suffered as soon as Odom and Bryant hit the pine late in the 1st quarter. It wasn?t just one specific issue about the triangle offense. Multiple players were making mistakes, sometimes, simultaneously, to tear the offensive flow of the Lakers apart. </div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You didn't think we were going 82-0 did you? You could certainly see this loss coming. With the Sonics losing a tough couple of games, they were going to get up for this one and fight hard to scratch the win column at home. We weren't ready physically or mentally to match that intensity.

The Lakers have to continue survive this early part of the season as they try to get Kobe and their missing bigs healthy again. Kobe still looked rusty and continued to set up teammates, leading the team with 15 points and 9 assists. Farmar got 18 minutes of clock and scored 14 points. Lamar wasn't as aggressive as we have seen, shooting just 3-6. Offensively, the real problem were once again turnovers and establishing the post. The poor execution led to 22 turnovers, which the Sonics converted into 31 points. Ouch.

Defensively, we gave up the 117 points on 51.9 percent shooting. We don't have any answers for Rashard Lewis, Ray Allen and Luke Ridnour right now. They seemed to be able to get whatever they wanted. We also did a poor job anchoring the D throughout the night. We have even fewer answers for them when we are on our heels because of the turnovers. </div>
