Neither did Pittsburgh or the Refs.

I can't and won't speak for Dale or Beef but if the 'phins were to win in this manner, I'd feel sick. Even worse than now.</div>
Actually, I was thinking about how Ben Roethlisberger must feel considering how he played tonight. What was his QB rating tonight? That has to take some of the joy out of win. I would be very disappointed if the Dolphins won a Super Bowl in that manner, but when you look at the big picture, the Steelers did have a great post season and deserved to be there. I have to admit that I'm still trying to let what I just saw sink in.

From an 8 year Hawks season ticket holder, Congrats Steelers. Seattle didn't play it's best game Offensively and most of it was due to the Steelers D while 20 to 25% of it was Stevens looking out for Porter instead of looking for the football (he is usually very sure handed) and our own mistakes (penalties). I thought the Defense played well enough to win and if you told me they would hold the Steelers to 21 points I would have thought we would win for sure. Hope to see you guys next year in Miami.

I guess you will. If you really are that jilted by the game, you should find something to cry in.

Once again, poor sportsmanship seems rampant of people who complain about what the opponent did and don't look at what they didn't do or what they could have done better.

    Sad, just sad.

Seattle played great aside from Stevens & ironically he was the only one to score a TD. At least one that wasn't taken away by the refs. And yes I'm gonna jump on the bad ref bandwagon. I hate when they take it upon themselves to be noticed. Taking away Jackson's TD did just that. Then on the other side Big Ben falls short of the goal line & the ref doesn't signal TD until 5 seconds later. Now I'll grant you that he probably did cross the goal in the air. And even if he hadn't they probably go for it on 4th & more than likely get 7 anyway. But those 2 calls alone make you wonder where the refs heads were at. The Steelers made 2 huge plays on offense. Other than that they were AWFUL. The defense played well, but not great. Congrats to the Steelers on a great season, but a subpar SB. The Lombardi Trophy is on loan, but you can be sure that it's rightful owner's will be looking to reclaim their prize next season.

As stated before, The only thing worse than sore loser is a sore winner. If you can't tell that post was tongue in cheek then I feel sorry for ya.

If you look back, I said Pittsburgh would win. If this victory doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth then you need to have taste buds checked.

None of what I have typed matters. After all, you are the Paragon of objectivity in this matter.

You might want to concentrate on winning the AFC East first. The Dolphins have never laid down for the Patriots and, next year, the Dolphins might be ready to give the Pats a run for the division title. On second thought, go ahead and overlook the Dolphins just like you did the Broncos this year.

That's a pretty big assumtion as to my objectivity. Because I'm a fan doesn't make me unable to separate reality from some idiots delusions.

Insulting, not really understanding why you continue to insult. But it is what it is. And I'm not disappointed in winning the Super Bowl as much as you would like to convince me to be.

In case you were under any misconception I don't suit up for the team. So I don't have to be concerned with overlooking anyone. My confidence comes from knowing that my team won't overlook any opponent. But just so we're clear I gave the Broncos plenty of respect leading up to the game. I just felt the Pats did more to lose that game than the Broncos did to win. The Dolphins are a good team no doubt, but they've still got some holes to fill.

Ahhh...reason from a Seahawks fan. Thank you liljuzam for representing good sportsmanship (fansmanship) on the part of the Seahawks fans.

    That is a classy post.

Yeah, I was under the misconception that you suited up for the Patriots. Sure. Actually, I'm just trying to generate some heat so we can go back to being hated rivals next year. The Dolphins have managed to upset the Patriots late in the year the past two years, but I got the impression that it didn't hurt too much. I want it to hurt if the Dolphins beat the Patriots. When the Dolphins and Patriots are fighting it out on TV, I want to feel the tension of "No, we can't lose to those stinking Patriots. Bakes won't shut up about it." I want you to feel that too. So, do you hate me yet? If not, I'll try harder.

Actually you dont want to beat patriots, ask denver fans. They beat em twice, and it left the patriots fans on this site with the clear conception that the patriots were better team.

lol u can keep trying...although I think this should be moved to another thread.

It has been awhile since the Dolphins & Pats had a meaningful game. We can primarily blame that on the retiring of one legend QB & the emergence of another. There is certainly great potential for a rekindling of that rivalry next season. And since I don't forsee any serious competition forth coming from the 2 NY teams, perhaps it is time to dust off those old Squish the Fish banners. [IMG]

I'm a pretty laid back guy, so it's gonna take a lot to piss me off. If I had realized your crack about my silly website was an attempt to push my buttons I would have played along & replied with something about your mother probably. But I'm a bit slow when it comes to acknowledging people's hidden agenda's.

My plan this offseason is to perfect my drop kick. [IMG]

Pitsburg did do a little better then seahawks but everyone knows that there is no way they deserved this trophy. Im sorry but there were way too many bad calls in this game. You people can say you didnt spot any but i know what i saw and i what i saw was a superbwol that was just plain disgusting. I watch the superbowl to see number 1 a real good game and number 2 some funny comercials. Im sorry to say this year i only got one. All i got to see was some funny comercals. I didnt like either team I didnt hate either team. But im sry to say that this was one of the worst superbowls i have ever seen. First of all no way did Hines ward deserve that mvp trophy i would of said either the refs or Willie parker. Then we got the officiating just in case you guys misse them let me refresh your mind. 1. DEFINETLY NOT A PUSH OFF, 2. Not a TD by "Big Ben", 3. Holding on the punt? Uh No, 4. Holding on the play in which seattle got to the 1? No 5. Horse Collar Tackle? 6. Penalty on hassleback? Uh No. Stealers deserved 17 points. Seattle deserved 14. Had this game been called right it would of been a real good game it just goes to show you that when the refs want someone to win they will do anythign to make sure they prevaled. Congrats Stealers fans. I like to see jerome go out on the top he is a real good running back. You guys had a real good season up until the superbowl.

Geesh if beating the # 1, 2, and 3 seeded teams in the dominated conference in the league and doing it all not on the road not deserving of the trophy then I don't know what is.

I think Dale was attempting the old Dwo mind trick thing. However, I am not so sure it worked.

I do know it wouldn't have worked on Buffalo fans. However, Pats are closer to Harvard so somethere should be some residual effects.
