<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW CENTER: The Sonics signed 7-foot-1 free agent Andreas Glyniadakis to a contract, giving the club another big body in the middle after the loss of Robert Swift (torn ACL) and the inconsistency of rookie Mouhamed Sene. Glyniadakis, 25, has played in Europe and was in Atlanta Hawks training camp before being waived Oct. 26.
"He's got some skills," Sonics coach Bob Hill said. "He's intriguing. We will need his length down the line."

To make room for Glyniadakis, the Sonics waived injured guard Kareem Rush, who never had a chance to make an impression because of a strained groin.</div>

Would have suspected that they would have cut Farmer, but maybe he has some Mateen qualities that have made for a harmonious locker room. I've never heard of this center, and I don't imagine that he is going to factor in to our success.

I wish that we would have had a healthy Rush to spell Ray Allen but it is what it is.

Taylor is as far from an inside presence as Rashard is.

Yeah, I was never referring to Taylor as an "inside presence". I just remember back when we were looking to acquire him via trade for Vin Baker.

I guess we need the extra 6 fouls and size in our upcoming games. Atleast "AG" isn't 230 some lbs. I'm hoping that Fortson keeps up his good behaviour and that he gets more minutes.

I don't know where the guy's weight is coming from unless he has a solid base...he looks as skinny as Sene.

His arms do seem a little thin. Apparently he's supposed to be a Vitaly Potapenko with a Jerome James type body.

James' height, yes...but that weight maybe when James was in High School.

Surely Schenscher would have been a better option?

I have serious doubts about any European player that is playing in the Developmental League.

I'll reserve judgment until after I see him play. Personally with all of the free agent prospects available I would have picked Peter John Ramos, Zendon Hamilton, or Jahidi White -- just so that we would have some bulk underneath.

There isn't enough room in the Emerald City for two Lukes.
