yeah we were the 6th seed and got to the Superbowl...we had to play the biggest and best team in the league...and we beat them not because of calls (which were a factor i admit but not the reason the Seahawks lost) but because destiny fell in our hands when Seattle pulled out a 12 gauge and blew their leg off with terrible play calling, missed field goals, and bad deviation from the game plan they had set up...no doubt in my mind we won the Championship, deserved it, and loved it...
I said they did awsome they did great this year. They took the wild car all the way to the superbowl. But the fact that they won the superbowl like that doesent impress me. There were so many bad calls in this game which in the end caused seatle to loose. This game was just a waste of time for me i did not go out and get all this food just to come home and watch a game in which the refs handed someone the game thats not what football is about. I watch games to see teams play their heart out. I loved watching bettis go out on the top but seing the stealers win liek they did just didnt cut it for me. I wouldnt of cared if they went undefeated and won the superbowl if they won it like that they did not deserve it. There were 6 huge calls either missed or just plain bad and they all played a gigantic part in the dimise of seatles season. Holmgreen spoke the truth and im glad he said it.
I still say they would not have beaten Cincy or at least would have been a much closer game if Kimo hadn't cheap shotted Carson, I did love watching Kimo get his though, and by that I mean when Tobeck leveled his ass! That aside both teams played a bad game, I keep hearing your supposed to be able to deal with bad calls but when 7 or 8 of them are against one team it's kind of hard, the major one was the "push off" of D Jack, My dad went ballistic after he saw the flag exclaiming, "Michael Irvin made a living on that move!" and the thing is Jackson didn't push at all let alone like Irvin did. Big Ben even admitted on Letterman that he didn't think he got in on that touchdown, and don't get me started on the "Illegal Block" I guess QBs aren't allowed to tackle anybody now because the refs are afraid they'll hurt themselves so they penalize them sheesh! This all said I still think the Steelers would have won this one in the end do to Homlgrens WAY to conservitive play calling. But any one on Earth can see the major fiasco those refs caused in the superbowl and hopefully the league deals with it accordingly.
hey did you see the parade in Pittsburgh? The refs were on the float with the Steelers! And they had black and gold striped jerseys on. That game was so clearly fixed! I'm not a Seahawk fan either! How can anyone in Pittsburgh live with themselves? I know as an athlete I would never be comfortable "winning" like that. Pittsburgh is a cool team I like them alot they just aren't as good as Seattle and the whole world saw it. Superbowl xl was fixed and the whole world except Pennsylvania knows and accepts it!
