Understandable, we dropped from 12th spot to the 14th.

I think Mcgrady's problem is shooting in general, not just on free throws.

Agreed. Even though we can win games with Yao alone, in order for us to be contenders we need Tmac to operate soon.

Generally it's not suggested to use TMac and operate in the same sentence.

I haven't seen a Rockets game yet, but I've noticed TMac struggling in the boxscores. Is it physical or mental, or a little of both causing him to get off to a slow start?

I would say a little of both. . There are stretches in the game where he looks like he'll take over, but he'd defer to his teammates who might have been in a better position to score. He played limited minutes at the beginning of the preseason, the last 2 games were just to get him into game shape, so it's understandable that he needs some time to rediscover his form from 2 years ago. Physically, he doesn't drive to the basket as much, but that might just be him trying to find his jump shot or a bit winded. Mentally, I think he's still trying to find his place on the court -- since he's been out for quite a while.

I am 100% sure we'll see the T-Mac of 2 years ago return, soon. He's just getting himself reacquainted with the game and his teammates, he'll be back. As for the rankings, I would completely agree with them, we haven't proven much -- we've lost to two teams who we were completely beatable, and did well against a good squad. We might just be struggling on the road, but the tide will turn. We're coming up on a win-streak, I can feel it.

Here's what Mcgrady said about his shooting woes:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Right now, I'm not feeling it, I'm not feeling like myself," McGrady said. "I find hesitation in my shots. I'm not just reacting and pulling the trigger right away. I don't know when I'm going to come around, but it's really frustrating."</div>

    It seems to be mental.
