<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MIAMI ? An MRI showed that Heat center Shaquille O'Neal has no serious damage to his bruised left knee, coach Pat Riley said Monday. O'Neal, who was hurt when he bumped knees with a New Jersey player in Friday's game, is listed as day to day, making him questionable for tonight's game against Seattle at AmericanAirlines Arena. Riley said this entire episode was avoidable. "If he'd worn his knee pad he wouldn't have done that," Riley said. "That's the one time he didn't wear his knee pad. And when he took the thigh contusion (at the end of the 2004-'05 season) is the one time he didn't wear his thigh pad." O'Neal's playing time, if he starts tonight, is uncertain. But Riley said that if O'Neal is healthy he should be able to play his usual 30 minutes or so. If he can't start, Alonzo Mourning would take his place. With point guard Jason Williams (knee surgery) expected to miss at least another week and shooting guard Dwyane Wade talking about his tired legs and need to defer to teammates until he gets in better basketball shape, the Heat needs Shaq back as soon as possible. "I'm not looking to score 30 every night right now," Wade said after the game. "I'm looking to get my teammates comfortable. That's what I did early in the game, and then when it was time for me to shoot I tried to. But I'm still trying to get myself back and my legs back."</div> Source
He's not looking to score 30 every night now? Man, I wish he said that before I drafted him 4th overall in my league...ugh
The FIBA champiomships must've really worn Dwyane Wade out. Miami's not going to win another championship if Wade doesn't play 100% out there, one of the main reasons why Miami won last season.
Shaq needs to start wearing his pads lol. Wade scored a lot, but had a poor shooting game against Seattle. Miami is going to have to pick it up so they don't fall too far behind.
