I honestly dont think it was fixed, maybe the hype around Bettis last game and it being in Detroit clouded the referees decisions once or thrice!!

The SB was not fixed. It's simply an excuse so the Seahawks fans and supporters can sleep better at night thinking the team was cheated out of a SB win instead of actually losing it themselves. Reality is, they just didn't make the plays when they had the opportunities and the Steelers did. Boo Hoo!

As the week has progressed and I've gotten to see replays of all of the disputed calls, I have to say that I really don't think the refs were awful. I think they called the game tight and I think a couple of calls could have went either way, but I don't think there is any conspiracy.

The ghost holding on the play where Stevens caught the ball on the 1 yard line, was not a ghost call. The lineman hooked our guy as he beat him with a speed rush. He hooked and grabbed and if my memory serves me right, that's holding. The Seahawks had a plan of stopping Pittsburgh's rush. Block as well as you can, but if you can't, hold. And they got called for it a few times. Those times were costly.

Seattle had more to overcome than the 7 or 8 plays that everyone is complaining about. And there really isn't enough legitimacy to those complaints for anyone that's a Steeler fan or player, or anyone involved with the organization to feel bad about how the Superbowl was one.

As for Mike, who I personally like and respect, he lost some of that with his complaints against the officiating. Poor sportsmanship, which I didn't really expect from a guy of his experience and classiness.

Dude unfortunately you are a biased Steeler fan so of course your going to feel this way! Thats ok its just wrong. This discussion should be limited to impartial football fans not biased Hawk or Steeler fans.

This isn't about how I "feel". This is about what I saw. And you don't know anything about me, so I'm not sure how you can judge me. Based on your post, I can tell you that I know more about football and have a more even view of the game than you think. For someone yelling conspiracy, you'd better be sure you can back up an accusations with some facts.

All I hear is "It wasn't fair, the refs gave the game away! Wah Wah!" Prove me wrong, don't cry about what didn't happen.

For Hawk fans: I'm a huge Seahawks fan and we lost the game because we didn't play well. Hawk fans, think back to the NFC Championship game. If we played as well on Super Sunday as we did in that game we would have beat the Steelers 42-0 despite the refs. If we stop the Steelers on 3rd and 27 then we don't put the officials in a position to decide if Rothlisberger scores. Offensive pass interferance on D Jack was on 1st down so we had 4 more downs to score again or maybe get a another 1st down. Tom Rouen was horrible in the 1st quarter. 3 straight punts into the end zone. I mean Rothlisberger played like crap, but we never pinned them deep and made him start from his own 5. Maybe if we had done that one of Browns kicks is from the 40 instead of the 50.

For Steeler fans: Congrats on being the Champs. I hope you realize that wasn't an even playing field. I mean we were running up hill all day. But hey, we couldn't overcome so make sure you keep the Lombardi throphy shined up for us next year.

    the end.

    Sounds a bit more accurate.

I think we'll keep the trophy. I actually think it likes being in Pittsburgh.

Sorry to all other fans, the Lombardi is going to be in Pittsburgh for awhile.

    Thanks for playing....

I don't live in Pennsylvania and the Super Bowl that I saw had the Steelers making big plays and the Seahawks blowing opportunities. I'm really thinking about starting a pool about how many more crybaby threads Seahawk supporters will start. I guess they think if they cry long enough that it might change the truth and the truth is that the Seahawks couldn't get the job done.
