We get our mid-term report cards tommorow. I think I'm getting like an 88% average, which would be my highest average % in all of highschool (yeah, I realize it's only mid-term). Usually I get high 70's, or low-mid 80's, but this year I'm actually trying and it's paying off...even though I did slack through all of September and most of October. Now, if only I could maintain it.
I'm doing bad.. 81 in World Issues, 65 in Organizational Studies/Leadership ... course is fun but hard and 78 in English. Though I just killed my last WI presentation, and I suspect that my marks will rise because I always step up by atleast 5 percent in each subject after mid-term (hopefully by atleast 10 in Leadership).
I thought I was going to do well this semester, but so far I've been doing like crap. 71 in Calculus, 75 in Writer's Craft, and 83 in Data Management. I was fucking around for the first month and a half in Calculus. Data came easy but the last test I dropped 4 percent. And I went into Writer's Craft thinking I'd learn tools for writing to prep me for journalism in university but it's all poems and short stories, which I suck at. So, yeah.

And what's your major project/assignment/ISU at the end of the course, if you have one?
Well for the first quarter, I'm doing decent, a bit below my expectations, but whatever. Environmental Science AP- 91/92 (depends on a Lab) English Honors- 88 German 4 Honors- ? Calculus AB AP- 85 (Came back from an F on the first test) European History AP- 84 (Got caught giving someone my essay, so they gave me a zero for the assignment) Physics Honors- 89 (Had an A, but for the last unit, didn't study at all)

However, since it's basically ONE course (2 credits), it's not the same as the normal English other Gr.12's are taking in the cirriculum. I swear to god all we do in that class is talk. The teacher's always complaining or yelling about something and the class is so damn EASY and pointless. I'm getting 85 in that course. It counts as two courses so on my report card, my Eng mark and my WC will both come out as 85. I'm also getting 93 in History. As for the major project, I'm not sure...For our upcoming unit summative, we have to make a children's book...which I think is utterly stupid and ultimately pointless. I thought the course would make me a better writer...all it does is dumb down what you're capable of and force you to write the stupidest things. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Environmental Science AP- 91/92 (depends on a Lab)English Honors- 88 German 4 Honors- ? lol, I remember Writer's Craft. Soo damn easy. I remember my teacher thought I was a dumbass until I blew her away with the final assignment (a collection of poems).

Little did I know before taking Chem in Gr.11 that chem includes math as well (I thought Chem was going to be all about naming elements and such lol). I got a 66 in Chem last year...it brought down my average from a 80+ to a 79. Stupid class.

Conventional poetry, conventional short stories, experimental poetry, then experimental short stories. The ISU is reader's notes on six assigned short stories then a interview, capped off with an essay. The class is mostly a bunch of girls, and my teacher has an obvious bias. On every occasion, I take my rough draft to him and he gives me all these suggestions etc. I follow the suggestions and get level 3's, while the girls I know get 90's and all. Not that my poems are necessarily worse than theirs, just that marking poetry is totally dependent on what the marker thinks. Lucky I have 7 U courses, so Writer's Craft can not count in my top six. Damn arts school.
I get like A's in ever thing but a D in math. Thank God a D is considered passing in my school district.

Now my average is severely gonna go down, because because my last test scores were 58 and 45. How horrible is that? I feel like an idiot, but I just can't seem to absorb the things I learn in Chemistry. I keep forgetting or just messing up.
I have 7 classes I can exempt 4 out of 7 of my classes The classes I am going to exempt, I have to have an 80 above average No unexcused tardies No more than 3 tardies Its pretty simple to get an exemption
Math: 90% Matter & Energy: 90% Chinese 2: 76% English: 86% Gym: 98% Foundation Of Tech: 90% History: 95%

LOL WTF Ming, you should be dominant in Chinese (I assume you're Chinese) and Foundation of Tech sounds like a BS course...
I only know half outta all my 8 classes. French - 82% Science - 81% Business Technology - 91% Math - 57% (How did I go from high 90s and 80s to this...)
Fucking ****, I called my marks in all three classes. A 76.3 average is about 11 off the journalism range at Carleton...I know I can get an 88, but it'd mean taking everything seriously.
