Last night in the 4th quarter we saw the Kobe we are used to see but why was he all passive in the 1st three quarters and why did he decide to take the game over in the last minutes of the game. Is he gonna start playing like his own self next game?
I sure hope so, because our team is showing signs of inconsistency again. Kobe needs to dominate the final quarter, he's the best closer in the game. I don't think he was passive, he was just trying to get his teammates some looks and play decoy on offense. He realized his teammates weren't going to heat up, so he went into vintage Kobe mode to close the gap. If the rest of the team struggles again, we'll see Kobe get into this mode a lot sooner in the game.
that one play he did last night was SICKKKK I was in awe Kobe's not the problem, it's the rest of those inconsistent players we call Lakers
I would say his offense is back. Its his defense that still missing. His TO's have been pretty high too.
^word. There were a lot of plays where he seemed lazy to just put his hands up. I haven't seen a single block yet this season. But on offense, I bet you he'll start dominating the ball more, while at the same time getting his teammates shots.

That spin move has to be on the top ten on espn damn he schooled the whole Pistons team even Flip Saunders got schooled

No one else in the league makes that shot, and Kobe makes it look so easy. The play I noticed the "look" come back, was when he made the steal, but the officials called a foul instead of just letting Kobe take it in for a dunk and really get the crowd and his teammates going. I hated that call, it was a ticky tack foul, just let Kobe do his thing and entertain. I agree on his defense not being up to par either. He's not reacting like normal, and gambles on passes and reach ins.

BTW yes It was a sweet move.
Can someone post Tayshaun making Kobe fall? It's not like it was a dunk that made him fall, so I don't understand the big deal. I guess I have to see it to see what the hype is about.

Right when they showed that play on Sportscenter yesterday, the anchor started going, "Travel...that's traveling", and the other guy was like "This is the NBA man, you can get away with it!"
I'm really hoping the real Kobe is back here soon. The rest of the team has started to slack off since he came back and aren't playing at the level they played at (Lamar specifically) when he was out. Unless they're going to step up, Kobe needs to take over. I don't want it to happen, but it might have to unless Lamar and co. decide to wake up.
