I've always liked his passing, and I was just interested to know if you guys think his play early on this year is for real? Could he be the Boris Diaw of this year, impact and stat wise (without the versatility at PG/C)?

I think he's stepped up and wants the organization to know that he is here to stay. I think he is a huge asset to the team. He is hustling, making shots, rebounding, and doing all the extras to keep us in games. He is a keeper.

I'm not sure if the offense will allow him to have the same impact as Diaw, but Luke is playing with a lot of confidence right now. Teams view him as the weak link within the Lakers offense early on, so he's been taking advantage of smaller players trying to defend him.

As long as he stays confident and aggressive he'll continue to produce. However, teams are going to figure out Smush is the real weak link in the Lakers offense, and you'll see better defenders on Luke.

He has to improve his FT shooting though. He needs to be above 75%.

I've always like Luke since he was a rookie. I notice he had a lot of potential at PG, specially in the Triangle, but he has improved his game a lot by having a 10 ft fade away. I love it. He has become very consistent and also knows how to finish around the basket. A lot of his IQ in basketball comes from his dad.

Luke's playing really well. It is his contract year. I hope the Lakers try to sign him. We need him.
