Nets' Keys to Victory

Big 2- With RJ, Carter and Kidd will need to really step up their game. That means Kidd will have to score more, while Carter should stay consistent. The Nets seem to have other players that can score this year, but majority of shots will need to be taken by Kidd and Carter especially if thier feeling it.

Enough Jumpers- I don't want to jump all over Carter, but he needs to decrease the number of jumpers he takes. Go to the basket and draw fouls. Carter is able to get to the basket almost at any time, and that's what he needs to do. He can't stay automatic on jumpers.

Defense-At times our defense has been really good and other times it hasn't. Defense wins games. Plain and Simple. If the Nets get steals, they are able to get easy points. If the Nets just play tough defense, Washington will struggle at scoring.

I like the Nets, you guys are cool, but let's go Wizards. I hope Gil drops 40 again. With RJ out, it makes the matchup easier for Washington, Stevenson and Butler can be rotated on Carter, to see who can have the least damage done on them. Krstic is going to be the guy to watch out for as a big performance for him will likely swing the favour to NJ.

NJ needs to be ready defensively as the Wizard are currently the best offensive team in the league, and don't look to be slowing down. It should be an exciting game.

It's going to be hard for the Nets to steal against the Wizards. The Wiz are currently first in turnovers with 12, so they have been taking care of the ball. Antoine Wright will have to show up and make a presence in replacement of Richard Jefferson during these 4-8 weeks because Vince Carter won't be able to do all the work.

Kidd with 9 asts!? Damn.

He is handling the ball a lot and finding teammates. He is playing exactly how Nash does under the Suns system. And he doesn't look any worse, now does he?

Nets are starting to fall apart. Turnovers and being too passive is really killing us.

Wright with turnovers and pointless fouls. Not a good game for him.

What the hell is going on? The exact thing that happened against Miami is happening today. Get it together already.

That was a scary and exciting game. I have to say though ,we shouldn't went to overtime. We had the game in the bag during the first half and needed to continue during the second half. We need to play well throughout the whole game. I don't know if we will be lucky like that again. Good job VC, you saved us. =)

Kidd 15 pts 11 rebs 18 asts (That's a MONSTER triple double)
Carter 34 pts 7 asts
Krstic 22 pts 10 rebs
Nachbar 15 pts 6 rebs
Williams 8 pts
Robinson 8 pts 5 rebs

Ah man. We had this game won. I officially hate the new ball, lol. How does the ball have so much arc, but bounced so politely in the basket on the shot by Vince Carter to tie the game? The Trio needs to be scoring at a consistent rate and they need to make key stops at the end of the game.

Frankly, I thought the Nets would win by 10 at regulation. Incredible shot by Vince! And Jason Kidd... what can I say... 2 triple double performances in only 5 games and barely missed another against Miami with 12-9-9.

Before this season, VC was just a highlight and dunk man for me, beacuse I didn't watch his game and I didn't care about his game & stats.
But now, hasn't he put up 30+ every night or something ?
Last night, 7 dishes+2 clutch three pointers.

Barkley maybe said it right, that the Nets could be a serious contenders for the title this year. They have their team chemistry alright now and they've got very experienced stars like Kidd and Carter.
It's gonna be an interesting season.

That new basketball had something to do with the way that shot went in.

I still would be concerned. Had Vince not hit those shots the Nets would have let go of a 16 point lead and lost the game.
