1a) it was because of Holmgren that replay got started i.e. Testaverde's phantom TD. How ironic he get worked over by his own idea.

1b) Holmgren knew the Ref from their days doing H.S. games in northern CA but I've already pointed this out. It is worth repeating, though. Holmgren must have said something back in the day for him to job him all these years later.

    2) Wasn't it in Detroit that the Steelers got shafted on an overtime coin toss?

It was actually because of that call with the Jets that Seattle was able to hire Holmgren....had that game gone the other way, the Seahawks finish with a winning record and Erickson is retained....Holmgren cant go the Seahawks job, and goes elsewhere....maybe its the Cardinal complaining about getting screwed right now....

I think the Jerry Rice fumble which cost us the game against the 49ers which is forgotten about is why Holmgrem went for the replay. If the correct call had been made TO would never of had an attempt to make that catch from Young.

Very true. But the funny thing is, I don't see why the big T.O. catch was such a big deal. Yeah, it knocked Green Bay (unjustly) from the playoffs, but San Francisco got their asses handed to them the following week.

The Dolphins missed the playoffs because of that call.

I think it was Thanksgiving game between Pitt & Detroit in the mid to late 90's. Regulation ended in OT and the Ref (Phil Luckett I believe) said it was tails when it was clearly heads.
