The Lakers better not take the Grizzlies lightly today and put this game away by the 3rd quarter. The Grizzlies don't have Paul Gasol, but this is one of the better rebounding teams in the league and they crash the offensive glass with their athletic frontline. The Lakers cannot allow the Grizzlies to stick around in a close game, because this team has streaky shooters like Chucky Atkins and Damon Stoudemire in the backcourt. With the lazy perimeter defense we've been playing the last 3 games, this could become an issue today. The Lakers must rotate and fight through picks and recognize the shooters on the floor. On offense we need to do what works for us, attack the rim. We all know Chucky plays matador defense, so I expect Smush Parker to shred him today. If he can't manage to score at least 10 points and shoot over 50% from the field, against the worst defender in the league, there's not much hope for Smush. The Lakers cannot afford to lose 3 straight games and drop another home loss to a 1-4 team. Everyone in the Pacific is starting to play better, it's our turn to get back to winning and keeping Phoenix in the Division cellar.

Odom and Kobe need to get to the hoop and do it often. If they can get easy baskets, the Lakers could have a big night from them. All in all, we need to get easy shots and we need to get someone outside of Kobe to contribute a big game.
Kobe needs to take a bigger load of the offense. He also needs to try hard on D as well. I think he's turning the ball over because he's trying to play a facilitator type role. He doesn't need to do that to the extent he's been trying. The fact is, this team will go nowhere if Kobe tried to get the others involved for 75% of the game and put on a show when we are behind by 20 points. I also get the feeling that Odom is trying to hard, he needs to let the game come naturally to him instead of forcing the issue.

Lakers are looking good thus far. Im still not comfortable though. Our Lakers still seem to be able to give away a huge lead fast. Odoms on pace for his first triple double too!
They're doing great, nice jam by Evans and a sweet left floater by Kobe to end the first half. Hopefully they play with as much intensity as the first, maybe everyone on the bench will get some PT time
