I'm reading the play by play cause its not televised where I am and it looks like we're on a mini run. Not really sure but we're only down by 14? LOL EDIT: Looks like the Kings are getting a ton of turnovers but the Raptors can't capitalize. I'm not even watching the game and its pissing me off. We could have been tied if we just took advantage of their turnovers.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA The biggest understatement ever by Jack... "The wheels have come off" YA THINK.... way to lay an egg in the fist game of a tough road trip

Both posts are spot on, except the whole Salmons point....He sucks as well. Has anyone else noticed that the score is only shown for a few seconds on RaptorsTV. The score, game, and shot clocks should never come down. FRUSTRATING!
i'm the first guy to call out mitchell but its about time we start calling out colangelo. about 5 minutes in - i started to compare the talent on both teams and i realized there was a tremendous discrepancy in favour of the kings. in my opinion on talent alone the kings should have won by 10 points, then u add another 5 points for the home court advantage and u have the final score. closer look at colangelo's moves -bargnani (lots of talent but still hasn't proved anything) Grade: to be determined -fred jones (dribbles way too much, terrific on the fast break and erratic shot) Grade: B+ -PJ Tucker (undersized but amazing pickup for the second round) Grade: A -Humpries (traded for hoffa, nuff said) Grade: A+ -tj ford (we gave up a potential all star, then signed tj for a huge contract; sometimes he's brilliant and sometimes he might be the most turnover prone guard in the league) Grade: C+ -Rasho (doesn't fit into the uptempo style, plus the contract) F -Anthony Parker ("glue guy", can't shoot and might be overpaid) Grade: C+ -Garbosa (overpaid, looks tired, confused and angry) D+ BTW, i loved when jack called chuck out on his B.S., i.e 7 turnovers

However, if you replace Sam Mitchell with a competent coach, TJ Ford, Parker, and Garbajosa's grades all get bumped significantly, IMO. My biggest criticism of Colangelo, to date, has been his hesitancy to replace SMitch (new nickname) and the fact that he didn't do enough to replace Mike James' shooting. I also loved the quadruple-double exchange: Chuck: "I'm just trying to be positive here!" Jack: "I'm just stating the facts."

Ur too hard on garbo and too easy on jones. Garbo will get better, just chill. I think its way too early to started raggin on BC. We all praised him as the saviour a few months ago, now we gotta take shots at him....lets be a little loyal here. Mitchell should be out by christmas if this continues.....
<div class="quote_poster">deception Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">yeah chutney we posted essentially the same comment at the same time; colangelo messed up big time by keeping sam around.</div> IMO Colangelo is just has Mitchell in place to keep Iavaroni's seat warm ... he can't hire him for a year because of the deal he cut with the Sun's when he left. Problem is Mitchell is screwing things up pretty badly. I think Bargnani could actually average close to 10 ppg right now if he got a few extra minutes of burn and was integrated into our offense a little better. Look at how he is being expected to score, they throw him the ball on the perimeter for an ISO? the fact that he's getting his shots off just shows his quality. We have a 7 footer who shoots jumpers as well as anyone on our team and we don't even bother to look for him on the offensive end. Instead we have guys like Garbajosa and Fred Jones who are shooting terrible percentages jacking up jumpers.
I really don't see Garbajosa improving that much as far as shooting goes. I don't know why he jacks so many, his shot is sooo flat.
Anybody know anything about Iavoroni? I've heard his name quite a few times with several different teams now, but don't really know why he's getting the attention, etc. Garbajosa and Bargnani are in the same boat, IMO. Two players who are good shooters (don't know why Garbajosa's suddenly stopped falling during the regular season), but can also mix it up down low a little bit. Jorge's situation, in particular, is a little bit puzzling. Mitchell plays him as more of a 3 (which probably explains why he was stupid enough to leave him on Artest for so long), when his scouting report and obvious talent show that he can rebound and bring some toughness down low as well. Bargnani just needs times to develop in the right game situations and I think it's been said enough. What's interesting is that, after watching classic games of KG and Nowitzki as rookies, I think he's a lot less raw than either of those two right now.
I don't know too much. Apparently Iavaroni is a longtime assistant coach and is highly respected. In the preseason NBA.com poll he came 2nd behind Dell Haris as the most respected assistant coach in the league (survey was of general managers). I'm assuming he's similar to a D'antoni since he coaches under him in Phoenix.
<div class="quote_poster">a13x Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Instead we have guys like Garbajosa and Fred Jones who are shooting terrible percentages jacking up jumpers.</div> Don't compare what Jones has done this season with Garbajosa. Fred was shooting 51% and 47% from 3PT before this game so you can't complain. I'm not sure where you're getting the "terrible percentages" part about Jones. Garbajosa on the other hand is shooting 23% so I can see that.

We need to keep it out of his hands at let Ford or Calderon run the show.

Jones will look to rebound after a poor night shooting in sacramento, and hopefully being inserted into the starting line up will give him the confidence he needs to be effective. Look for the Raps to come out with a strong first quarter, since they've been letting other teams set the pace of the game early on. This is clearly something that Sam Mitchell has addressed...we hope <div align="center">X-Factor Anthony Parker's ability to score and run without the ball will be key to keeping Jason Richardson busy...but more importantly Parker's ability to defend Richardson on the perimeter will be paramount.
