This is LA, there's literally hundreds of gyms out here. There's plenty of local talent, and a lot of players spend their offseason training in LA. He doesn't deserve to be in the league, he's absolute disgrace to the Purple and Gold.
HAHAHA. Well that explains why he has been sucking things up lately. No worries. We understand that he is getting paid money to play basketball, yet when he can't find a place to play in the whole Los Angeles area it's completely okay. It's alright Smush, we understand. I agee Shape he doesnt show an effort on Defence and he joust jacks up shots and stands there. He shouldnt be in the Nba and doesnt show up night after night. But thats what you expect when your paying a guy 700,000 bucks per year.
While I feel everbody's angst towards Ms. Parker. I think its up to the coaching staff to pull him to the side and clearly explain for him his role. A.Defend B. Hit his open shot C. Stop pouting and being a B@#ch!!!!!

Give the guy a break he's still good and better than a lot of PG out there its still early in the season to reach a verdict the guy's not a complete bum.

There's not a single team in the league Smush would be starting on, and he's not even be good enough to play backup on a lot of NBA teams.
If you watch the games teams want smush to shoot. They rather double team Lamar or Kobe and leave him open. But he still can't produce...sad

But he still can't produce...sad</div> Agreed, and now defenses have figured out Luke Walton can produce, so he received a lot more defensive attention last night, and we saw Smush take 13 shots as a result. Maybe PJax should give Sasha another chance if defenses are going to leave the PG wide open from the perimeter. If Sasha can make those shots, then the Lakers will be tougher to defend. It gives Sasha one more oppotunity, before PJax has no choice but to start Farmar.

Farmar is the only spark off the bench right now in the backcourt, so starting him could hurt the chemistry. However, I like Farmar out there to close the games for us.
I think it's about time to send Smush to the bench. He hasn't produced and can't hit a shot or defend anyone. Either give Sasha another shot, cause at the very least he has the ability to knock down the open shots, or just start Farmar, who in my opinion, is the best option at this point.
Why don't they just send him back to the D-League for a couple of weeks? At this point, he seems like more of a liability than anything and the Lakers could hope that a reminder of how easy it is to go back where he came from might get him motivated a little. It's not as if he's got a big salary or anything. And you could have Sasha start with Walton helping him with playmaking to offset his production and keep Farmar's production off the bench.
Throw him in the D-league. The last couple games I watched he really had this attitude problem. I dont understand why he is not working to keep his starting spot! How many people start on an NBA team! Especially a team like the Los Angeles Lakers. He does not realize how lucky he is... Like shape said, on any other team he wouldnt start and IMO may have been cut on more talented rosters.. He's lucky to be here, and he's throwing that in the Lakers face...
So is Farmar in? It seems like the Lakers haven't drafted any points in the first round the past few years except for Farmar. Would the Lakers ever go veteran and just pick up somebody like Howard Eisley or Rick Brunson? Probably not getting much, but one or the other could hit shots, bring the ball up, play a little defense, until a trade comes along. What about Jay Williams? Did the Nets waive him because he just sucks now?
I don't think he qualifies for the DLeague, you can only send down 2nd year players or rookies. CR2, going after a veteran PG is a tough call, because of the complex offense the Lakers run. Unless the Lakers can get a guard familiar with the Triangle offense, or a quick learner, then I don't see them bringing anyone in. Maybe Aaron McKie can be the veteran PG we need, he's had plenty of time to study the offense with all his injury problems.
