The Bears are currently 22-1 on PaddyPower.com to win next years superbowl! PaddyPower is probably the biggest bookmakers in Ireland and I think this is quite a good price for a team with such a good defense and if they have a solid draft and maybe one fre agent pick up they will be dangerous. They are a running team and with Benson having a full preseason, full mini camp etc. He will be good this year, Also the return of Mark Bradley into a Rex Grossman run offense looks promising!
I wouldn't bet on Chicago to win the Super Bowl. I think they'll be the favorite and they'll probably win the divsion but I'm not sure if they can get to the Super Bowl and win it. though the NFC is wide open. That defense was healthy all year and I'm not sure if they'll go through another season without injuries but who knows. If Grossman has a Drew Brees like year then you chances will go way up.
i agree with your view of the bears future and offensive capabilities but benson looks like a bust to me...in some of the games even when he was healthy eh would have something like 10 carries for 9 yards and a long of 8...i know it was his first year but you can tell something from a guy with those stats...
YOu can't really all him a bust yet, give him another year. He was coming in when the defense knew they were going to run the ball to run out the clock. Also, with the Bears having one of the healthiest amount of cap room I would say they will add some good free agents (inclusing Antwaan Randel El if they get a chance) the bears have the easiest schedule of all the teams in the NFL when you look at all their opponents winning averages of last year! I saw that on their website
I think he has been unlucky the last two years with injury, I hope he is all injured out! I can not see him being injured again, the O-Line will protect him more, and they will run the ball a lot, there should be no neeed for him to get injured
I hope they don't start babying him just to keep him healthy. He should play in the preseason like any other QB. In all reality, Chicago still doesn't know how good he is being that he hasn't played a full season yet. What if he is the next Harrington?
