Again we will have to cut down the turnovers (11 against Minnesota), and we have to get Hedo going early, as the key matchup is him against Pierce.
Paul Pierce is gonna destroy Hedo. Sorry to say but it's true. Wally is also a good threat and hopefully doesn't get to the Free Throw line where he's automatic.
Dwight needs to build off of the Twolves game and just pretend he's playing against KG again. He seems to show up against the best players and struggle against the others. I expect Ariza to get a lot of playing time to try to contain Paul Pierce.
I've notice that 2. He does good against KG and Big Ben but doesn't do well against other players. Ariza will play significent minutes trying to contain Pierce which is a difficult task to do.
Is Telfair even going to play? I saw he got hurt a couple nights ago, but never really heard how serious it was. Jameer vs. Delonte West is always a good matchup. Both players always seem to get up and have great games against their friend and fellow college teammate. I think Bogans/Ariza will be the X Factor in this game. They will have to try to keep Pierce from shooting a high percentage and getting to the line. I don't care if he scores a lot, just as long as he's not as efficient scoring. We have to stop the role players too.
Pierce, in my opinion, is gonna have a good game. We need to stop Wally, Gomes, and possibly DeLonte from doing too much. As long as their role players don't do much, we should win. Jameer VS DeLonte is always good and brings out the intensity out of those 2 players. I think Arroyo will do good for us off the bench and I'm not sure if Telfair will be playing or not. I actually didn't even know he was injured.
Well, I can't recognize Boston's center by looking at their picture so expect a mediocre performance for Dwight. Jameer should have a good game like Gators said and hopefully Darko can get some minutes and build off his impressive performance against the Timberwolves. I predict a Magic win, 98-95.
If we can contain Ben Stiller (Wally World) and Delonte then we should be in fair shape. No matter what we do, Pierce is going to get his. We should focus on shutting down his team as he can't possibly score all their points unless he pulls a Kobe.
Do you guys think J.J. Redick will actually get some playing time tonight? If so, how many minutes do you see him getting?
if telfair doesnt play, thats a huge plus for orlando...i expect pierce to have a big game if hedo is guarding him
I have a feeling we will have Grant Hill matched up on Hedo just because Grant is a better defender. When Hill comes out of the game I expect to see Keyon Dooling or Trevor Ariza on Pierce because both of those guys are better one on one defenders than Hedo is.
Jameer Nelson just got hurt by landing on Rajon Rondo's foot after trying to drive to the basket. In an attempt to stop the gameplay and get Jameer some attention from the trainers, Keyon tried to foul Wally. They both went up and Keyon just drilled him. They called it a Flagrant 2 and ejected him from the game. Wow.
Jameer was unconscious hitting 11-17 shots and Grant Hill I believe hit 8-12. Dwight had a solid day 18 points 15 boards 3 blocks 4 assists and only 3 turnovers. He really needs to work on his FT's as he went 7-11.
<div class="quote_poster">Swish15 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Dwight is leading the league in rebounds per game!</div> Which is ridiculous because he has just hit his rebounding groove in the last 2 games. He had been contained on the glass before the last 2.

I think we are getting spoiled.
Agreed Swish lol. Paul Pierce didn't do much which is surprisingly. Ryan Gomes did really well though.
