I was [IMG] Swish chill. Atleast Dwight has a chance of getting voted by the coaches unlike VC. [IMG]

Yeah, I know. I'm just messing with you. [IMG]

Dwight is a lock as a reserve. Vince might still get in. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    Some great articles:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The writers at Sports Illustrated --- at least the dot.com version --- and frankly, it's all the same anymore --- are giving much love to Dwight Howard.

SI picked its All-Star starters for the Feb. 18 game in Las Vegas, and all the writers were unanimous:

Howard should start over Shaquille O'Neal, who led all Eastern Conference centers in fan voting.

Writes the respected Marty Burns: "Sorry, Shaq fans. This 21-year-old is among the league leaders in rebounds, and -- unlike the Diesel -- has actually played in more than a handful of games."

Writes Paul Forrester: "Even if Shaq were healthy, Howard deserves the nod here as the East's best center, a position he should hold down for the next decade."

ESPN.com's John Hollinger seconds the motion: "It's a close contest in the middle for the East between Howard and Jermaine O'Neal, but durability gives Howard the nod.

The 21-year-old has a good shot at becoming the youngest player in league history to lead the league in rebounding, and his improved offensive output (19.0 points per 40 minutes, 56.4 percent shooting) has the resurgent Magic playoff bound.</div>

    And my favorite,

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Dear Shaq,

Hope you are well and have had some nibbles on your $33 million estate in Miami.

Man, that place is bigger than my high school. I'll make an offer as soon as I get my tax returns.

Let's talk about the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 18 in Las Vegas. Congratulations are in order because you just were named as a starter for the Eastern Conference, practically in absentia.

But it's not too late --- heck, you have until tip-off --- to do the fair thing, the right thing.

And that's give up your spot and allow Dwight Howard to start.

You've played just five games because of knee surgery. Not your fault, no. Howard hasn't missed a game, or hardly any rebounds.

I suggested this weeks ago, and when you got wind of it, I heard it ruffled your considerable feathers.

Hey, I wouldn't have gone there except we go way back. I know you'd be a big enough man, a classy enough of a pro, to consider the gesture.

But you said that Howard needs to wait his turn --- and I understand that. But you also added you didn't care what THAT organization thinks.

Don't hold it against Dwight that he's with the Magic. Nobody is dissing you for leaving in 1996, even though it set the franchise back 100 years. Nah, this has nothing to do with that.

This is about Howard. I know you respect the kid and his game. He is in the lineage of big-time centers, and will forever be in your shadow in Orlando.

Remember when Tracy McGrady and Allen Iverson all volunteered to let Michael Jordan have their spot in Atlanta? Then Vince Carter did the coolest thing for MJ and pushed him out on the floor, giving up his spot?

That's the kind of reaction you can get for helping out a fellow big man. And maybe in a couple years, when Howard eventually is the leading vote-getter at center, he'll return the gesture and step aside for you, when you'll be known as Shaq Granddaddy.

    Think about it.</div>

Pretty good article about Dwight getting snubbed.
    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
Dwight Howard expresses himself with shining smiles and corny dance moves. Apparently being the quintessential “good guy” is not enough for NBA fans to give Howard the respect that he deserves. Howard leads the NBA in rebounds per game and is the single most dominant post player in the East, yet somehow he was overlooked by the fans of the NBA and will have to come off of the bench for the Eastern squad. Police Officer Shaquille O’Neal, who has not even participated in 10 games this season, was voted in by the fans as a starter. (Seventh in total votes)

Howard, who is a bowling fanatic and stays out of the nightclub scene, has done everything that has been asked of him this season. Alongside Jameer Nelson and Grant Hill, Howard has brought the Orlando Magic out of the dumpster and back into contention. Hiding in the bowling alleys and in his living room playing video games has apparently destroyed his “street cred” with fans who long for a story of him being arrested. While scrambling through internet sites in search for someone who didn’t vote for Dwight Howard, I came across an unusual statement.

“Yeah Howard is a good player, but he’s not a good enough character. Get in trouble or something kid, then we’ll care.”

The boldness… the audacity… THE NERVE… of some idiot, talking-head who thinks that because Howard is not a negative influence that he doesn’t deserve to be on the All-Star team.</div>
