The Nuggets are use to running a lot as they play at 1 mile altitude and use it to their advantage at home, so on the road they dont get tired so easily and run much more than other teams (omit PHX). You can expect to see Trevor Ariza get a lot of minutes to contain Carmelo. If the Magic can keep Anthony to under 25 they will win the game. Darko and Dwight have to take advantage of the injuries to Martin and Nene and dominate early and often. Jameer has to continue his stellar play against Andre Miller to win. Grant Hill is the X-Factor. If he play like he did in the Boston game, the Magic will cruise from start to finish.
I think Camby is gonna have a monster game on the defensive side of the ball and for Carmelo to score 30+. Hopefully, we can contain Andre Miller who has done good as of late.
<div class="quote_poster">d-money12 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">im telling you, if melo drops 25+ we will lose the game</div> Why only 25? That's like him getting his average and most SG/SF's get above their average on us. I'd rather Melo get 40 points and no one else be involved. The X Factor to me is Andre Miller if he goes for a double double we will lose, IMO. Whoever wins the Jameer vs. Andre Miller matchup will win this game. Dwight is going to have to eat Camby for breakfast. Good defensive big, so expect a big night by Dwight.
What a great game. Our bench is great. Ariza's spike pass/assist off a jumpball to Dooling for the fast break layup was amazing. Dooling has a career high, 25 points. He was also 5-5 from downtown! Dwight and Jameer sucked
wow the game just ended and this was a really ugly game for the magic even though scoring over 100 and having some 26 to's....battie couldnt cover camby worth a lick...theres more negative things than positive's that i could say...we got lucky though and our bench stepped up more than ever...ariza had a break through game being effective on offensive rebounds and guarding melo...all around aggresive and glad he is still in magic uni....dooling came through and i think this gave him ton of confidence from being behind aroyo and nelson..
Great game for Dooling, Grant, and Ariza. Even though we had 26 turnovers tonight and Dwight and Jameer sucked, I'm still really impressed with our team. It's good to know that we have other guys who can step up and play good even when our stars aren't clicking. Keyon and Ariza are two guys that have proven to be reliable (offensively and defensively) off the bench and I really like the way they have been playing. Dooling showed some of his range tonight hitting 5-5 on threes. Ariza is a good defender and I love his athleticism. That offensive rebound he got towards the end of the game was big because it led to a bucket and the foul which gave us a larger lead. I'm really happy with our team this year and we really need to keep this up (except the turnovers). Cheers to 6-3!
if we can cut down the turnovers to about 15, we would hvae the best record in the league. i mean come on, we had 26 TO's and still dropped 108, with dwight and jameer being nowhere near what theyre capable of tonight
I think we need nights like this to keep our bench ready for anything. There is no way we could have won this game say the last 4 years if our starters were sucking that bad... Tmac era we would have lost by 30, last year we would have lost by 20... This team is so deep that it forces the other team to play its starters even when we have our second unit on in order to cut the lead or to maintain it. This was a sloppy game but man was the crowd into it when dwight got that rebound and foul. I think its safe to say that this team is for real. 26 turnovers and we still win, that says something about how much they wanted this game. They could have packed it in at the start of the 3rd when the Nuggets went up 10. But they didnt and they came back thanks for Mr. Dooling and Arroyo. Great sloppy game and a W is a W...
Our TOs were ridiculous. Turkoglu and Arroyo traveled like 1000 times. Dooling played brilliant and Ariza played good and had a lot of offensive rebounds for us. Nobody could stop Camby it seems but hopefully we cut down on those TOs.
