<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Allen Iverson expects to get some answers about the Sixers on their upcoming three-game Western Conference trip. ?This is where you find out what kind of character you have on your team ? which guys still believe in what we're trying to do,? Iverson said after Friday's 108-101 loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Sixers (3-3) head into the trip ? featuring games at Seattle on Wednesday, Phoenix on Friday and Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday ? on a three-game losing streak. A year ago, the Sixers went 0-3 on the road against those three clubs, losing by an average of 11.3 points. So far this season, the three are 8-3 at home. ?I think this will tell a lot about our team,? Iverson said. ?You win the first three and everybody's together and everybody's talking about how good we are. We believe in each other, this, that and the third. ?Then you lose three [and] you find out what you're about. You find out if you really care about your teammates; you find out if you really can play together; you find out if guys are going to go different ways. So that's going to be important. Can we still stick together and feel like we're all we got when things are not going right? It's going to be interesting.? Willie Green is optimistic the Sixers will fare well on the other coast. ?I think we've got strong-enough guys that we can pull it together, go out here and win some games and come back to continue what we've got to do,? Green said. Through six games, there have been numerous plenty of problem areas. Rebounding and defense are at the top of list. The Sixers rank 24th out of 30 teams with a differential of minus-4.5 on the boards and are 16th in points allowed (97.8). And then there's the slow starts and general inconsistency from night to night. ?We had more energy the first three games,? Andre Iguodala said. ?Coming out [in the last three], we relaxed a little bit. We've got to pick it right back up.? Don't forget Chris Webber's growing dissatisfaction with his more limited role, particularly in the fourth quarter, either. Coach Maurice Cheeks is often relying on four smaller players and one big man (usually Samuel Dalembert or Steven Hunter) down the stretch of games, which has led to two games in which Webber didn't play at all in the fourth and two more in which he's logged only six of a possible 12 final-period minutes. Asked if he has to discuss the matter in greater detail with Webber, Cheeks said: ?We talked about everything we need to talk about. There's no gray area. Everything is right there.? Compounding the Sixers' difficulties is a killer schedule. Nineteen of their next 27 games are on the road, including nine on two separate Western Conference swings. If the Sixers could choose, they'd rather be going into a home game after losing three in a row. That's not the case, so they'll have to win on the road or return on a six-game skid. ?We don't have a choice,? Iverson said. ?When you win a basketball game, it just feels like a new start. You get a new rhythm, you get a new feeling. We just got to get another win.? </div> Link After a quick 3-0 start, the Sixers have quickly fallen back to earth losing their next three. We now have the record of 3-3, and are risking the chance of falling below the .500 mark. Although the season is still young, the Sixers have shown the annoying habit of stringing together 2 or 3 wins only to lose their next 2 or 3 games. Let's hope the trend doesn't continue this season
The problem with the 76ers ever since the 2001 NBA finals has always been consistency. When this team is hot they can play with anyone, and look like true contenders. However, there are some nights where they will come out and look horrible. It's really frustrating as a fan to watch them play with heart one night, and not get back on defense the other.
