Whta do you guys think of the A's moving to Fremont as they announced it today? They deserve their own ballpark, that is for sure.
Have you guys seen pics of Cisco stadium? It looks amazing. Now they will have a beautiful ballpark like the Giants but they will actually have a good team playing on that field.
Let's just change all the franchises to San Jose. They can join the Earthquakes and Sabercats as franchises that have recently won a championship. Of course I don't know how many people watch those two sports. I know in Arena Football, Sabercats were one of the dominant teams for the last decade or so. Hot cheerleaders too. Earthquakes pulled some major upsets over better teams when they had Landon Donovan. They won a championship. Good ownership and general management. They knew their market and their players. The Yorks, Cohan, and all these other crappy owners are just ruining it. Al Davis ain't so crappy, but I'm pissed that he once moved the Raiders to LA. The owner on the A's has to give Billy Beane something to work with. Give him a budget and his formula will win. Of course maybe that is why the A's want to move in the first place. Get out of blue collar area and into silicon valley-south bay.
Santa Clara 49ers and Fremont A's kinda hard to see these teams relocate. I thought the Warriors would be the first to move out of the 3. I'm really surprised the 49ers are leaving SF. I hope the deal falls through and the new owners are ousted. The York family have been an embarrasment.
Don't get me started about the Yorks, Shape. Another reason why owning a major sports franchise shouldn't be a family business. It should have ended with Eddie D. He was the real reason why the niners won so many times as they did. He wasn't afraid to lose money on something that would win and he trusted guys like Bill Walsh who was a tremendous GM and coach. He might have lost money, but he really gave the fans a treat. A billionaire owner that is a true fan is the most loved. If they don't know the game then I can't think of how they could be a good owner. They would not know which management to hire to build their vision. Of course, one can't be too strict like Al Davis. That guy will never get it done if he doesn't learn to trust or give coaches some leeway to make their team.
