<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rick Carlisle brings his Indiana Pacers to the Garden tonight, as the Celtics look to snap a three game losing streak. And maybe the Pacers are just what the Celtics need - the C's took three out of four games against Indiana last year. The Pacers (4-3) are one of the league's worst shooting teams, percentage-wise (just 43% FGs), in the NBA, but they get by with solid defense, rebounding and shotblocking. For the Celtics, Doc Rivers isn't pleased with the team's 1-6 start, but he stressed that he likes his team and feels that they are close to breaking through. Said Rivers after practice on Tuesday: "Our guys have proven that they won't go away. Now they have to prove that they can finish." </div> I don't know if they can beat the Pacers tonight. Anyone think otherwise.
OUCH!! ...if you're the Pacers. it's one thing to lose to the lowly celtics...it's another get your butts handed to you.
That was a fine game, and I think I have to eat some crow. Perk held it down, Gomes was awesome, and Pierce did his thing. I wasn't crazy about Doc's subbing every player every ten seconds, but the defense did the job down the stretch, so let's hand it to the man.

if you had told me that Perk was going to outsccore Jermaine O'neal I would have laughed at you and tried to hurt your feelings

Shutting down the Pacers is just like shutting down the Celtics, except O'Neal isn't as versatile a scorer as Pierce. Nevertheless, close down their number one option, and they're as weak as a kitten, have been for years.
