<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DENVER (AP) -- Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin will miss the rest of the season because of a bad right knee.

Martin had surgery Wednesday, and Denver said the operation "revealed more significant damage" than originally thought.

Martin has five years and more than $66 million left on his contract. He played in two games this season, averaging 9.5 points and 10 rebounds.

The Nuggets played at Orlando on Wednesday night.

Earlier this season, Martin talked about how good his surgically repaired left knee felt and how he was getting back to full strength for the first time since undergoing surgery 18 months ago. </div>

Sad to hear. Denver is spending so much money on him, and he continues getting injured.

I love Martin and I really miss the way he had played in NJ. He was always exciting to watch and really brought that energy and attitude. Now he's just another overpaid injury prone player.

These type of guaranteed mega deals are going to ruin a lot of NBA teams. There's so much risk involved as an owner to signoff on a multi-million dollar contract, because you don't have any recourse if a player gets injured, or flat out stops trying hard.

They should just buy him out. He's never going to have an impact in Denver.

he was overrated in New Jersey and Denver was almost as out of their minds to give him that contract as they were to give Nene his. Man is this rough if you're a Denver fan. The plus side is they might not be that much worse without him. In fact didn't they have a better record last year with him out of the lineup?

I think over the last two seasons they were about 75% without him.

Bad luck for Kenyon and the team, because he can be awesome, but I'm sure they'll do alright without him.

The Nuggets have better chemistry and can run and gun better WITHOUT Kmart. It's a big loss but should be a wash or better in the win-loss record as long as the current starters stay mostly healthy.

Nuggets are 7-1 in last 8 games.
