<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ronnie Brewer's game started by blocking a Sam Cassell 20-foot jumper just 53 seconds after the opening tipoff. Then he blocked an Elton Brand 7-foot jumper just 1:20 into play. Like most youngsters, though, what Brewer remembered most about his first-ever professional start ? in Tuesday's thunderous 112-90 Jazz victory over the Los Angeles Clippers to send the Jazz to a 7-1 record to start the season ? was his first shot. It was a miss. "I got the first one blocked, but I came back and got the tip-in, so I got the rebound and the basket," said Brewer. "I think once I did that, I started getting a lot of confidence." Brewer, the 14th overall pick in last summer's NBA Draft, was "shocked" before the morning shootaround when coach Jerry Sloan told him he would be starting that night with Andrei Kirilenko and Gordan Giricek both out with injuries.</div> <div align="center">Source</div>
Brewer played pretty well in his second start as well. I think the Jazz should consider starting him at SG ahead of C.J. Miles. Miles's production has been meager, at best -- 4.8 PPG only 34.7% shooting? Ouch. If Brewer gets 20 mpg, I guarantee he'd help out more. It's not like Miles is filling it up from outside. He's 0 for 8 in his last 5 games from beyond the arc.
