I kinda agree with Rock4Life. Rockets right now the way they are playing will make the playoffs, but they are not gonna be a championship type team, just a playoff team, and with Bonzi we might have a chance to be that championship team. I am not saying he will average 25 points a game, I am saying that he will give us a big boost off the bench (if he can get his fat azz in shape). Right now, we are a good playoff team that might lose in the first round depending what place we finish, but if we want to beat teams like Lakers/Jazz/Phoenix we might need Bonzi to be the 6th man. I feel that he can be just as good as Jerry Stackhouse if he is healthy or better. Dallas has a strong 6th man which is a reason they are good, and if we can get Bonzi back in shape, no doubt he will provide us with some scoring and most importantly that boost off the bench.

Dude, right now we have the fourth-best record in the West, and we definitely have not had an extremely easy schedule to pad our wins. This is the best start we've made in ten years. Yet we're still a borderline second-round contender?

And the Rockets should be able to beat the Lakers.

Lakers probably. But I just dont think we can beat Phoenix and teams like Jazz and Spurs. If we want to take that next step, we need a boost from the bench which I think Bonzi can provide for us if he gets back in shape and is healthy.

The West is tough with Spurs, Dallas, Phoenix, Jazz, Denver, Houston up there, with Lakers, Clippers, Golden State, Sacramento, and New Orleans trying to put up a fight.

I do like Houston though, good defense and having Yao as center should make them a good playoff team.

Whoa, Locke is more optimistic than me. That's a first.

However, I agree with you in that we are more than a 2nd round team-as long as T-Mac picks up his game.

I just ordered a $12 Rockets beanie off eBay. [IMG]:[IMG]

Hey man, you've got to be optimistic when there's actual reason to. Not just because the Rockets 'can' be a contender. They are a contender by their play in the first month.

Bonzi in shape sure can help, but that's looking very unlikely. Take that and his lazy-ass attitude, there's no point in going through the trouble.

It really depends on who we play.
If we are the 4th seed or 5th seed then we will most likely play lakers or spurs depending on how spurs finish season. If it is the lakers then we move on.
