Also, when he's not in the game for garbage times of blowouts, so naturally, the defense is going to suffer during such a period.</div> LeBron plays 40 MPG. Kobe played 38 MPG. Is it really that big a difference? And is Pavlovic that much worse defensively than LeBron James? Keep in mind that LeBron is mostly playing against the opposition's best offensive players and resting when their second unit is on the floor.

And the Lakers defense has yielded more points per possession with Smush off the court. It doesn't appear that they are the ones responsible.</div> Damn, I was a bit surprised that the Lakers actually given less point per possession with Smush on the court . That mean Smush is actually a decent defender afterall. Well nah, when I watched our games, it is usually start with our PG. Most PGs in the league drive pass through Smush very easily and break our defensive scheme which lead to our Big Man to back him up, and that's normally a hard thing to do since our interior defense is pretty weak right now. Furthermore, dish and penetration or pick n roll are the two elements of offense that we can't seem to find an answer for. Also it takes five guys to play defense so you can't blame Kobe because his team are given more point with him on the court. In fact, in term of team defense, I agree Lebron is a little better than Kobe simply because Kobe isn't young and not as energetic as Lebron, so he tends to get lazy sometime and not helping or boxing out his man on defense. Meanwhile, in term of individual, man to man defense, Kobe is superior to Lebron for that matter. And this is actually the point of the conservation when determining the best individual player in the league and it is clearly Kobe edges out any swingman.
