<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Suns guard Raja Bell got to the NBA on all-out effort and vigor. Turning down his intensity dial is no easy task, even when he returns to the starting lineup tonight with sore ribs beneath a padded vest.

The Suns were off nearly as long as Bell, who bruised his ribs Nov. 8. He missed two games, but a scheduling break - Phoenix has not played since Saturday - provided Bell a welcome respite.

"That's what I was trying to do out here the last couple days - find out how I can play as hard as I like to play without putting them (his ribs) in harm's way," said Bell, who feels "constricted" in the vest. "I've taken a couple shots and they withstood it.

Steve Nash left practice early Thursday because of his back and is questionable for tonight's game. He tweaked his back when he slipped during Monday's practice.

The issue likely is related to his chronic back problems with spondylolisthesis, a condition in which a vertebra slips over another.

"He's been having back spasms," head athletic trainer Aaron Nelson said. "It's been acting up off and on. It'll get better and then it'll be spastic."</div>

Not good news for the Suns, they need Nash to be healthy to be an elite team. It hurts them, because of their slow start too.
