<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MIAMI (AP) -- Starting with Shaquille O'Neal's left knee, the Miami Heat are hurting. The defending NBA champions lost at home for the third game in a row Friday night, when the New York Knicks took advantage of O'Neal's absence to win 100-76. The Heat announced shortly before tipoff that O'Neal, sidelined since Sunday, will undergo surgery for torn knee cartilage and be out four to six weeks. It's a familiar pattern for the Heat: Last season, O'Neal sprained his ankle in the home opener and missed the next 18 games. "Obviously we're going to have to gather the troops and do something different," coach Pat Riley said. "I think the guys have sort of been waiting for him to come back. Now we have to look in another direction."</div> http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=261117014 I didn't even bother to watch the recap after seeing the score on the bottomline. How will the Heat perform without Shaq for 6 weeks? We have to prepare for the worse, and that's a long time without your second best player. Wade has been doing his job. Basically everyone needs to step it up.
Is avereged now!, they are the world champs you cant say that about this team, they are the same players that win the championship, the only thing thats been killing them is the truth, SHAQ is their most important player, but the thing is, everybody in this team is very old except D-wade and Udonis Haslem. i am talking about the heat key players.
That Knick game was horrible..without Shaq, everyone needs to step it up. Thank God we have Zo to help us out, We got a win vs. Atlanta last night so thats good news, Jason Williams is also playing well in his return. Hopefully last nights victory can help us get back to our winning ways.
I like the talent we have, but mainly untapped talent that's not producing. Walker, Posey, Wright, Williams (who just came back) are all great talents. This team was built to win a championship within a year or two when we rebuilt the team around Wade and Shaq last off-season, and we've accomplished that. I just hope we can put it together for this year.
