ESPN.com Near the bottom he talks about the possiblity of the Blazers moving to Seattle if the Sonics leave. I hadn't really considered this before, but it makes sense given Paul Allen's connection to Seattle. In order for it to work, though, they'd probably have to jettison all the remnants from the Jailblazers because Seattle fans aren't exactly hardcore enough to put up with bad apples. And Allen would have to pay a ton of his own money to help build a new arena. But it would be super awesome to have B-Roy playing in Seattle. Not that I want the Sonics to leave. I just expect them to.
I don't want the Sonics to leave as well, but I think instead of starting a new team, I'd rather have the Blazers move up. They've got some good young talent and of course, Brandon Roy. Oh and there's that guy named Nate McMillian too.
Allen would lose alot of money if he were to do it, mainly because of the agreement he and the city of Portland made saying that the Blazers will stay for about 30 years at the Rose Garden till about 2020. I'm not to clear on it, but if I find it I'll put up the link.
