    They have to rework it some time because the Jets are like 30 million over the cap, if he refuses they will probly have to release him

    releasing him would be bad because they'd take a 12 mill cap hit and not be 24 mill over but 36 mill and thats worse. They are trying to make his base salary from 10 mill to 1 mill but i think they'll end up making it about 3 or 4 mill base

    i think the jets should be able to cut him without paying a price...really it should be NFL rule that there are no cap penalties if your QB throws with about the same strength and skill as your center...

    lol well its kinda the Jets fault for giving him such a big signing bonus, thats being paid over the duration of his contract and its guarenteed money, its too bad Terry Bradway doesnt know how to make a reasonable deal he kinda screwed us right here. If he didnt have such a big signing bonus we could probably cut him no problem

    I expect this to get ugly....if you ask a guy to take a pay cut, and its reasonable, they usally will work somthing out, but dropping the salary by 87 % is a little too much to stomach....
