Besides football, hockey and golf are the only other sports I enjoy. On the plus side I don't have to wait too much longer before I can see some football again either since the CFL starts up in June.

I pretty much like all the sports. I can watch everything from football to golf (I'm a sucker for the majors). Baseball is not too boring, and hockey is definitely fun. Baseball gets interesting towards the end of the season.

Golf is not a sport. There is more than enough innuendo/entendre to make Freud smile.

Soccer? Soccer is something european women created, so, they'd have something to do while their husbands cooked supper. LOL

Baseball is great. It just requires a different mind set to watch & enjoy. Baseball IMO is not direct cause & effect i.e. something that happens in the 4th inning may not be felt until the 7th.

I agree with the Soccer thing! The english adopted it as their invented sport so being Irish, I can not stand it. Well most of the time!

Gaelic Football is my number one follwed by Hurling and then American Football!

The gaelic athletic Association was setup by four Irishmen in 1888 to encourage people to speak the Irish Language being spoken etc.. seeing as the Irish had nothing to call our own!

Still an amateur organisation, in my opinoin the biggest and best amateur sports organisation in the world!

Football is my first, basketball is my second, and hockey is third, the rest is... fun to watch but something I don't get into as much.

Football is king....I have a soft spot for baseball, because of the numbers....like nothing else, baseball can be broken down into statistical probabilities and a direct correlation can be shown between cause and effect....Its also interesting when performance denies the statistical probability, like a guy hitting .111 agaist leftys for the year driving a Randy Johnson fastball 10 rows deep into the stands....based on past performance, that shouldnt happen, but it does....even the strongest statistical correlations are no match for the imperfect fluctuations of the human body and mind....I like hockey third....I dont care for watching Golf, but I love playing Tiger Woods on PS2....

The redneck side of me comes out after the football season is over. The funny thing is that I live in Minnesota. I'm going to a couple of NASCAR races in Texas (nov.) and Chicagoland, Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas, over spring break, and I watch a little baseball but I'm not really into it until the last part of the season. I'm not into basketball, and I watch very little hockey.

Nascar? I haven't gotten into it - then again, I haven't actually gone to a race. From what I have been told, if I goto a race with an appropriate amount of beer, I'll become a fan. [IMG]

Golf is one of those things that I would have laughed at years ago. What happened is that I roomed for two years with a golf fan when I lived in Baltimore, MD (no, I don't like the Ravens, sorry MKIV). On the weekends when a major was played, he watched nothing but golf. I suddenly became a fan. I enjoy the moments in sports that create pressure on a person - and I really enjoy watching them succeed under pressure. To me, golf is such an incredible mind game, but the greatest enemy is not a pitcher standing 90 feet away from you, or a defensive back talking smack, but confidence in your own game. Try sinking a 20 foot, double-break putt, knowing that $10 million + endorsments is on the line.

On the other hand, golf is entertaining for the scenery. I guess this comes down to a 'grass is greener on the other side' theory, but in this case, the grass really is greener. One of my favorite things about playing golf is ending up on some non-descript middle of the game fairway, looking around me, seeing beautiful scenery, and realizing that I haven't thought about the problems of life for at least an hour (I'm not good at golf, so an hour brings me to about the 5th hole).

I am perfectly willing to admit that golf is boring to watch if you don't have the same perspective that I do, but I enjoy it all the same.

I dont know what league you're watching(or not watching), but thats about 30 feet too long for MLB, whose mound is 60 feet 6 inches....

I know I can't handle soccer. Its boring & puts me to sleep quicker than golf.

There is less scoring in soccer than a Trekkie dating an "anxious" supermodel. Nudge nudge wink wink. Say no more.
