<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The day before the NBA draft in June, Jordan Farmar worked out one final time at the Lakers' practice facility for his future team. His only goal was to make it through the session without getting hurt. Instead, Farmar twisted his ankle, though he was able to walk it off and joke about it afterward. It was a flashback to the ankle injuries Farmar battled throughout his time at UCLA. The old problem returned for the rookie guard in the first half of Sunday's game against Chicago. Farmar suffered a moderate sprain of his right ankle in the second quarter and did not return. X-rays were negative, but Farmar walked out of the locker room in shower sandals because he couldn't wear his dress shoes. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he thought Farmar would be OK in a day or two. "Not the way it feels right now," Farmar said, "but they know better than I do." Farmar had established himself as the Lakers' first guard off the bench. He appeared to be changing directions when he rolled his ankle as Chicago's Ben Gordon and Ben Wallace converged on him. "If anybody rolls their ankle like that, it's going to be sprained, regardless of what happens in the past," Farmar said. "I was healthy and 100 percent, so it's not an issue. "But I think I know how to deal with it. I know how to get through it. I know the rehab process. We have the best trainer in the business, so I think I'll be fine." </div> Source
