We are taking on the Nets a the Key tonite!

    And I will be there!!!!

Good thing Jefferson is out....I see VC shutting down Ray, so look for Rashard to get PLENTY of open jumpers

You're right, I don't think Ray can handle Vince Carter's stifling defense.

Darn that Vince Carter. He totally shut down Ray.

I missed the game by the way. I just caught the first 5 minutes and the last 2 minutes on the radio. I heard we came back in the 4th. Vince started lights out but couldnt buy a bucket in the 4th. Another strong outing by Allen (9 boards and no TO's) and Johan comes up big for us. That's all I could tell hearing Locke and watching some of the post game.

    How was our overall D?

We were behind for 85% of that game, until Luke came up big with some huge buckets down the stretch, and Johan had a big block in transition on Carter that sparked a fastbreak the other way and a Luke basket.

Carter scored 19 points in the first 15 minutes or something silly like that.

Jefferson played too, though I like the look of Antoine Wright who has gotten his chance with RJ injured.

We really stepped up defensively in this game. It seems as if we were able to keep the guards in front of us and we did a pretty good job on the boards.

Our perimeter starters played very well on both ends and the bench, even though their stats were poor, gave us some energy in spurts.

I just don't like the fact that we aren't getting any consistent production from our interior players. Petro has his best game in a while but Weezy had only four points and Nick Collison can not make an open jump shot.

Combine the fact that our perimeter subs seem to have lost confidence in their offense I don't think that we will be turning the corner anytime soon. Nonetheless I'd rather be making these comments in a win than in a loss.

Wilcox hasn't shown the ability to post up consistently and Collison doesn't have the confidence to post up consistently. Nick should probably get to post up more but he squanders the few opportunities that he does have so it's hard to justify doing that. Make you wonder how much Swifty would have helped.

While I was at the game, I noticed that VC has a swagger about him that I have never before noticed, it is on the edge of being cocky...but I think that it just adds to his love of the game.

At times he seemed a little antsy and unpolished (dribbling the ball off his foot), and it also surprised me that RJ24 came into the game so early...I thought he was out...he only finished with 6, as did JKidd.

Marcus Williams looks to be a GREAT draft choice for NJ, even though at times he showed that he was a rookie.
