<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">OAKLAND, Calif.—There is no way Morris Peterson is remotely happy about being dropped from the Raptors’ starting lineup.

There’s also no way he’s going to go completely public with his disappointment and anger.

“It is what it is,” Peterson said yesterday morning, a day after being dumped as a starter by coach Sam Mitchell in favour of Fred Jones.

“I’m wise enough to know the stuff you can’t control, don’t worry about. I just play basketball and let everything else take care of itself.”

However, there is no masking the fact Peterson disagrees with the move Mitchell made before the Raptors tried to break out of a two-game funk against the Golden State Warriors last night.</div>

This is exactly like last season when Mitchell benched Peterson in favour of starting Joey Graham. Both times it was a complete waste of time. Mo-Pete needs to be in the starting lineup and given more consistent minutes. He's our best shooter. And if the last few minutes of last night's game doesn't show how much we need him, I don't know what will.

    Just fire him already.

Really, what's the logic in starting Jones over Peterson? Even if he comes off the bench, give him meaningful minutes. 20 minutes or whatever that a bench player would get doesn't cut it. He's our 2nd or 3rd (argubaly) best player. 'nuff said.

Mitchell is an idiot. Giving Mo's starting position to Graham, who didn't deserve it last season and now to Jones who CLEARLY doesn't deserve it this season.

All this stuff about earning minutes is plain crap. He played Garbo, arguably our worst performing player for the first 5-6 games, whether he deserved it or not (and he didn't).

What has Jones done? He chucks up threes, doesn't pass the ball and takes bad shots.

He plays TJ a lot more than Calderon, who has outplayed him for almost the entire season so far.

MoPete is Mitchell's scape goat. When things are going bad he finds someone to put the blame on. When has Mitchell ever put the blame on himself? He makes changes just for the sake of making changes.
