<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> The Houston Rockets are allowing the fewest points per game in the NBA, but still looking to break out offensively. They'll have a chance Wednesday against one of the league's worst defensive teams as they host the Washington Wizards at the Toyota Center. The Rockets (7-4) held their seventh opponent to fewer than 95 points in Monday's 97-90 win over the New York Knicks and have found ways to win to despite struggling offensively. Houston's defense limited New York to 37.2 percent shooting. Opponents are shooting 44.2 percent against the Rockets, who allow a league-low 91.3 points per game. The Rockets have been one of the NBA's best defensive teams in recent seasons, finishing in the top five in scoring defense in three straight seasons. They wouldn't mind the same kind of success on the offensive end. </div> Yahoo Preview Sorry I can't write up a preview tonight guys, math test tomorrow.
http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2006/11/wheres_...r_personal.html Bad News: Bonzi is still ot Good News: Chuck Hayes will be back in the starting lineup. When I saw his collision with Shaq, I was sure that Chuck got the worst of it, but its turning out that Shaq is a lot more brittle than the Chuckster. Hopefully, he is healthy enough to be his productive self. My Prediction: Rockets 99 Wizards 92
Hey guys, Can someone update me on VSpan? I cant watch the game, but looking at the box score, he got 7pts (3-4FG / 1-1 3pt) 2 rebs, 1 ast, 0 TOs Seems like he is doing well.
Rockets better hold on to that lead today if they wanna win. Also, Chuck Hayes is playing, I thought he got injured for like 2 weeks.
Another close game and difficult W. Well, at least we will never get bored to watch any game till the end
I still don't understand how McGrady continues to settle for the jump shot. He was not being double teamed and was once again missing in the fourth quarter.
Yet again another horrible 4th quater performance? Down the strech, like in the playoffs, we are going to NEED to be able to close out games in the fourth in order to win...
The positive thing is that Head and Alston are making big shots when needed. That's will be necessary in the playoffs.
Alston shooting 4/16, tied for most shots by one Rockets player (with Yao). Maybe he should stick to creating shots for others rather than jacking them up at that rate. Good to hold for the win though. Vassilis Spanoulis had a good game, hopefully he'll get more game time.

And for the life of me I can't figure out why when they go on a dry shooting spell, Novak doesn't get pt.
A lot of the people from ClutchFans got very upset with Alston tonight. Yes he shot 4-16, but he also shot 4-9 from 3pt land (including the game breaking shot).

He has no midrange game, and he can't finish well at all in traffic.
Though another 4th quarter collapse it's still nice to get a win. Right now the rockets are just satisfied or content to get a win in nail-biting situations. Alston should have developed a slash to the hoop game rather than shooting jumpers and missing badly or he could have used the board when shooting midrange shots. Good thing the wizards are not in their shooting groove tonight coutesy of the rockets great defense. Very good game by Billy. He should be given more playing time now that Bonzi is out again and again and again.......... I wonder if he(Bonzi) plays. If he wants to have a big pay check next season he should have to get himself well conditioned instead of complaining.
The fact that we are winning in these situations can't be luck because when a team has come back to challenge ouor lead, the only team to win is the spurs. Every other team we have held off. We can keep the lead for the win, we just need to do it without giving fans heart attacks.
