I was reading the Metro this morning on the train and in Marty York's colum () he was quoting an unnamed Raptor who completely ripped Mitchell a new one and said he should be fired. So, I know the first reaction is it's just Marty York being a dumbass. And that's what I'm kind of thinking too. But it seemed like a hell of a lot of work to make up so many quotes (especially in slang) for a story, after getting ripped apart for his VC rumour. I haven't been able to find a link to it, but tomorrow, Metro will post up todays newspaper and I'll give a link and copy down the exact quotes. Just wanted to throw that out there, if you hear it referenced in the media or anything. Did anyone else read this/know where a link is?
yeah i heard it as well; if it is true, mo pete the disgruntled raptor might be the source. he's the longest tenured raptor and probably one of the only raptors who knows marty york.
Marty York is more full of **** than the Toronto sewage system. I can understand that a player is disgruntled, but I just can't bring myself to believe a guy who writes a bunch of trashy articles (even for a free newspaper standard). Wasn't York at one point a guy working in Sportsnet talking about the CFL? Anyway I think Sam Mitchell should be fired...

Providing the article is legit, my money would on Mo. He's one of the few Raps who've been coached by Mitchell longer than 10 games and I can imagine him talking in that kind of slang. Then if you consider his recent demotion to the bench and the fact that he has vented out to the media before, then I would say there's about an 80% chance it's him.
I'd wonder if a Raptor wanting to make complaints and expect people to take it seriously would go to Marty York. If I were a Raptor and wanted to do it, I'd probably go through the Star or Globe, if I wanted anyone to believe it.

York on the other hand is somewhat of a loner in the sports media world and the guy has no decency so you know he'll let the public know whatever it is you say (and keep your name anonymous).
There is no way thats real. It seems that marty york went bent over backwards to make it sound real with the lame quotes and with the whole reference that "NObody will believe you." Thats right, nobody believes him cause he is marty york. BTW, i hope mitchell gets fired
