The newest rumor is that the Vikings are going to release Culpepper before his bonus vests....according to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins arent serious about a trade, because they found out what the Vikes are planning....

That's just pure specualtion. though Childress was asked today will they consider releasing Culpepper and Childress responed NEVER SAY NEVER. So that speculation could turn into reality soon.

Latest rumor; The Vikes new owner said no trades involving Daunte were in the works.

I personally would rather see Drew in Aqua & orange than Culpepper and I am not overly thrilled about a Brees blowing in S Florida next year.

Well, you did want Brees to be in Miami around midseason so you should do the right thing and stick with it. I want the Ravens to pick up Culpepper because he would look better in the Ravens purple than the Vikings. But the thing is, Ozzie Newsome and Steve Biscotti isn't the type of guys to fight over a free agent.

This is worse than a soap opera. Is anyone else getting the impression that having Pepp manage his own affairs is going to turn into a PR nightmare? I don't know how I feel about an athlete handling his own media relations by communicating what has happened between him and the team to the press through a letter.

I don't know what to think anymore - but I know I still want him in Minnesota next year.

Byrant McKinne was on The Dan Patrick Show on Friday on Sports Radio and he made a good point. He said the faces of the team just 2 years ago was Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper and when he was drafted by the Vikings he thought he'd play the rest of his career with them. He also said that if Culpepper is traded to the Viking because of the boat scandal then they might as well trade him to because his name was involved in it. He went on to say that it's ridiculous that they traded Randy Moss a year ago as well.

I agree with everything he said. I thought splitting up Moss and Culpepper was horrible and Moss and Culpepper still talk to this day and Moss even said he would love to have Culpepper in Oakland and reunit with him. He said it'd be a Cindrella Story.

I have no clue what the Vikings are thinking or doing with that franchise..
