Packers got Green signed with a year deal last night. This was expected. Now I hope they can get Aaron Kampman signed before Thursday.
Good signing, he's set to make 2 million with 3 million in incentive bonuses. TT seems to be slobbering at the though of drafting Mario Williams so Kampman may not be in his plans. I sure hope he is, even if we draft Williams we then have the best Defensive end rotation in the league is Williams is what he should be. We have Kampman and williams on 1st and 2nd down with KGB coming in for 3rds and obvious pass situations making him even more effective.

He's a pure freak. 6-7 295 and a 4.66 is insane. He has a 40 inch vert as well. I don't think anyone understands out freakish that 40 time and vert is. Rumor is KGB is going to be traded or cut in the near future. Packers want to get Kampman back in GB and long term as well. Looks like they want Kampman and Mario Williams as our ends. I like that idea!! KGB is overrated in my opinion. If we could redo his deal and only use him on passing downs along with Williams and move Kampman inside that would be a sick pass rush in passing downs. Right now though I rather have Mario Williams and Kampman as my ends which appears to be the plans.
If Kampman leaves in free agency, the Packers will draft Williams. If they re-sign Kampman, the Packers could very well take A.J. Hawk. Especially now that Diggs is gone... I agree, though. It's looking more and more like "Williams all the way" regardless of what happens with Kampman.

I'd actually prefer Hawk over Williams just because I think Hawk is the safer pick, Williams has the potential to be real boom or bust. If KGB is cut from what I read the Cap Hit will be tremendous in the near future. KGB is probably my 2nd favorite player on the entire team and if he gets cut Thompson will be right back on my SHITE list(he's currently in the neautral zone). KGB actually made major strides last year and became a more complete end, the major thing with him is he needs to keep the bulk up, he seems to lose weight as the season goes through, he usually starts at 250 and ends up at about 230. I still think he can be an every down player but I think he'd be best as a role player coming in on passing downs.
Im happy Green is resigned. But why was he signed for only a year? Was it because of the injury? KBG is one of my favorite DE. I like the idea by keeping him as a 2nd getting Kampman as a starter and drafting Williams. if Houston does sign Williams then we have atleast a good DE. I like how this tipic turned into the DE position.
FP be honest. You want Hawk in Green and Gold for the same reason I'd like to see Caulhon there? lol College bias all the way. haha Anyways Hawk would be the safer pick but I don't think Williams will be a BUST. At worse I believe your getting guy who'll play up to the caliber of Aaron Kampman. At best your looking Julius Pepper. He's one of the best DE prospects of all time and we can easily pick up a Ernie Sims or Thomas Howard in round 2 to start at OLB where as we won't be able to find any DE close to Williams. Either way though we'll be getting a quality player at pick #5 and I'm pumped for the Draft. Then again I am every year.

I actually would love to see Calhoun here as well, Im sure he'll shoot up the draft chart when he improves his 40 time at Wisconsin's pro day depending on what we do round one if he's availble in round 3 PULL THE TRIGGER TT, If we get another 2nd rounder by trade or something I woulden't mind them pulling there either as long as we get either LB Safety combo, DE Safety combo or a DE LB combo before him.
