Miami, Washington, Boston and Milwaukee are all tied for 9th place in the Conf. with a 4 - 8 record each while Seattle the 2nd to the lowest seed in the West has a better record at 6-8... What's up?
They have sucked. But now its embarrasing for the NBA. In the two games on Friday with the Lakers v. Jazz and the Mavs v. Spurs, i saw more intensity in those 2 games than any East "pick-up". Which is what it looks like. The Nets who are supposed to be an east beast looked like they werent even trying against the Suns. Show some efin love for this game.
It's still very early on in the season. I think the east is going to be very competitive this season, just have patience alot of teams are off to slow starts.
Damnit when did Dallas become 9-4? Now Houston and Dallas are tied for 3rd best record in the west and 4th spot in the west. Houston will never have homecourt advantage. Just when I get a little happy for GS (being 7-3) they lose 3 in a row. Where the hell is KG? Screw the East. Pathetic way to get to the playoffs if you ask me. EDIT: Minny is 6-6! Hell yea, they won 3 in a row!
Everyone else in the East can suck for all I care. The Magic are in first place and are 10-4 so that's all that matters to me.
Last year, the Jazz were just short of the playoffs, and if they had been in East, they would've been I think 5th spot. East teams are sorrier than West, yet East still beats West in All-Star games.

The east is so bad that It is hard to see who really will come out of the east. Based on talent and experience the Pistons should win the east If Miami continue to look really old and very bad. Although As much as I want that to continue...come playoff time the Heat will be a big threat. Hope I'm wrong though.

I noticed one thing. Most East have individual talents while West has like 2-3 players on each team that can contribute big team. Which is the reason I think they win All-Star games and aren't as good as West when it comes to Team Standings.

The West normally let the East back with a double digit lead in the ASG. It is because the West are underestimating the East. In a real competitive game, there is noway the East can compete with the West. The West have better shooters and a abundance of bigs in their front court depth. The East have become somewhat of a joke lately. This is due to the separation of power from the Detroit Pistons and the emerging of several mediocre teams like Orlando, Atlanta, Toronto. Every eastern conference teams going out west have a losing record. It clearly shows the West dominance, especially with the improving and emerging teams like the Jazz, Warriors, Sonics who aren't necessarily a playoff team last season but currently they are now. Every teams on the West can compete for the Eastern crown if they are in the East. It also shows the East have a lack of development in their organization. Overall, currently it seems like the West took another knot over the East in overall standing. This can be a situation of JV vs Varsity all over again
It's also really early into the season. If you look at the teams in the East that were supposed to take a jump this year, they all have new players to adjust to: Atlanta, Toronto, Chicago, Indiana, etc. Building the type of chemistry that translates into wins usually takes a lot longer than this.
