Or so says Matt Millen and the new coach...

Is this the year they keep him upright and his receivers start playing to their abilities? Or is it just another up and down (mostly down) year for Joey?

I guess we'll see... I've been saying "Breakout Year" for the past five, so I guess I'll say it again this year. I have to be right eventually!

Well the Lions are rumored to be the team with the most interest in Brees if he is not resigned by next week. The Dolphins were also mentioned.

This is great news for all of the NFC North. Joey "The Bust" Harrington is starting onc again. So the Lions are offically crossed off the list of teams to worry about.

Harrington has everything it takes to be good, but I'd be getting pretty impatient if I was the Lions. Of course his "star" recievers getting hurt every other quarter doesn't help at all, but once again, this is something that should be interesting to see what un-folds out of this whole ordeal.

I think it'd be cool to see Culpepper go to the Lions too, just so he could play against Minnesota twice a year. I just love that when a star player goes from his former team to a rival team in the same division.

If Harrington does get to start this year again, I have a feeling this will be his last year starting for them, unless he proves something.

Harrington will probly have a good year under Martz becuase Martz has had a lot of sucess with QBs. He turned out Kurt Warner and Marc Bulger, who were a undrafted free agent and a 6th round pick.

I just hope Martz runs the ball. He has a great RB in Jones, so please use him!

Won't happen. The Vikes would never trade Pepp to an NFC North rival.

Joey does have the skills, but not the confidence. I don't see him getting it in Detroit.

Harrington = Faliure. Every year you hear the same crap. He'll breakout and every year it fails to happen.. I wonder how many reporters are going to pick the Lions as the "sleeper" team for the 3rd consecutive season AGAIN.

Whooo! Now if Favre comes back we have an even better chance at wild card contention! If not we may see the mirror image of what Harrington started out as in Aaron Rodgers.

I heard that Martz prefers Joey H. This ought to be interesting.

An excellent point... It must suck for Joey to wake up every morning, read the paper and see "Harrington Sucks" on the Sports Page in Detroit. It can't exactly be "confidence inspiring."

i think harrington should be the starter by default... and i dont think the lions should get Brees because they have HUGE wideouts and i dont think he has the arm (especially after this injury) to have a good vertical game
