as reported in THIS article...the deal might take place

Mo pete could be sold as a mike miller with not quite the same shot, but twice the defense...maybe we can throw a draft pick in there too and get that wing player that we so desperately need

    what does everyone think?

are you talking about trading mike miller for maggette or miller? I would do it for Miller but not Maggette, hes too injury prone

Well actually I was thinking just Maggette, but you're right, Miller would be a nice addition too

Maggette in a Raptors uniform would be nice, great inside player, and has a decent outside touch. Though his defense is questionable, however so is Mike Miller's. I think Maggette would be better suited for the Raps since he can run up and down the floor. Plus he can get to the foul line at will.

Maggette's great, but it'd be tough to trade a dude who's been the NBA Ironman over the last few seasons for a player that is good for one major injury per season. Obviously Peterson's contract situation makes this more appealing, but I wouldn't let go of a first rounder for Maggette (especially considering our potential record).

Well .. i am bias but i think if we need something on this team it's a consistant outside threat from our 2-3 spot .. because right now we have a lot of guys who don't quite fit that role.

I think CM would be great for us if we didn't already have a ton of guys who like to take it to the basket. I don't think it would hurt to have him on our team but if we are shopping right now with mopete being our bargin chip (+ picks) i'd rather get more of an outside threat than a slasher.

Maggette? Seems like a long shot considering that Mo is in the last year of his contract.

Someone up there said it, we already have enough slashers in this team and Maggette has a lot of injury problems [so does Mike], but I'd take Mike Miller any day because this team needs a three point threat.

Mike Miller is way better than Mo Pete. Mike Miller is a more consistent shooter, and is underrated. I'm not trying to say that Mo Pete isn't good, just Mike Miller is a player you want to have for a team enviroment. Plus it might be a money difference too......

I'd definately 2nd that. I think relatively we all know that Mopete isn't on the same level as one of those guys, but i think when we're throwing out trading Mopete as if he'd only be one part of a trade package offered by the raptors. I'm sure if we really wanted to there are some other pieces we could give away to get something around a Mike Miller back, etc...

Man, I'd trade for Pau and Mike anyday...just as long as we keep Bosh and Jose.
