I know this idea comes up quite a bit but I haven't really discussed this issue with a lot of people yet and I was wondering your opinion on it. They each have definetely stepped up their game.

Bigs are more valuable then smalls, so despite how amazing of a season that Melo is having, I would take Chris Bosh over Carmelo Anthony. That's certainly no disrespect to Melo.

If both healthy, I'd choose Bosh. It'd also depend on the team, though. Anthony would obviously be more productive and lead a lottery-bound team to more wins. But, as Gator stated, bigs are easier to build a championship team around and, seeing how Chris has really stepped up his rebounding, he's the easy choice for me. If either of them could step up their defense, they could put some distance between them.

    Melo hands down

Bosh still has to prove he isn't just a guy who gets good stats on a bad team. Kind of like SAR in Atlanta (when he was putting up 20 and 9) and Elton Brand when he was on the Bulls.

Melo's impact is far greater than what Bosh brings right now.

He also gets to the line 10+ times a game which says It all.

^ He's getting to the line 9.8 times a game this season and that's a career high. Before that, it was 8.9 and 7.6. Chris Bosh isn't too far behind with 6.7 trips in his rookie year (wasn't the main option like Melo), followed by 8.3 and 8.8 this season (various injury problems).

Honestly, I see lack of success as the only major argument against Bosh, at this point.

Tough one, but I'm going to go for Bosh because I'm a fanboy/homer.

Carmelo has really improved on defense. He's averaging 2 SPG and his man to man defense has improved a lot since his rookie season.

Tough decision, I would probably choose either player depending on what my team had and needed.

Easily Bosh, he has much more potential and is looking more like garnett every year (ex. developed a 3 points shot, is a rebounding machine now)

+ melo has had a much better team so far

But Bosh has Graham, which lifts the weight off his shoulders by a ton.

I like Melo better because instead of what he used to do (only score), he's finally rebounding a little bit and getting assists... and his team is winning. I'd also take him because of his stellar performance in the USA team games.

They're both great players, both vaulable to their team. With Bosh, you get reliability, rebounding, hustle, passion, and defense(Plus, he's reminding me of one of my favorite players, KG). With Melo, you get scoring leadership, and steals.
I would take Bosh, just because he seems like a respectable guy. Having met Melo a couple times, I totally dislike his character, he's a complete asshole.

With the argument on sucess. Melo's had a lot better cast around him than Bosh.

That's not something you get with Bosh.

I can't really say who I'd rather have, I'm probably bias. Melo's attitude problems in the past have kept me from liking him. The thing that's great about Bosh is that you know that he will leave it out on the floor every single game.

Safe to say, these two guys will play their whole careers in the shadows of LeBron and Wade.

Once bosh goes up against a bigger body he cant operate aswell and cannot play defense, he is too weak to guard big, stong guys, but once he gets bigger and plays proper post defense, i think i would take him over Melo

If I had to choose one to play on my team, it would be Chris Bosh. I like Melo, but he is more of a scorer. I think Bosh has a much more dynamic game and can give you points, rebounds, blocks, and steals. Melo will give you a nice boost with points, but not much else.

    Rebounds? Assists? Steals?

I like both of 'em. But Bosh is my favourite power forward in the league.

Bosh is a better franchise player, beacuse he's all-around. Left handed, nice moves, long arms, nice range. Defense isn't so great but his timing is ok, he gets some blocks. I think that his defensive game will improve soon.

I don't know much bout Melo. He is a great scorer, great clutch player and a great team leader. Denver has a niice record.

    I voted Bosh.
