When do you guys take them or are planning on taking them? I'm taking them Jan 27th. Signed up on CollegeBoard If you haven't though about taking them and you're a junior, you should. I'll try to get many tries and improve my score each time. Last year, I took the PSAT and scored an 1820. Any tips, advice? I've ordered a book from CollegeBoard when I was signing up for the SAT. For those of you who have already taken the SAT and PSAT. Can you tell me any key differences? Which one did you take? The one out of 1600 (old one) or one out of 2400 (new one)? And what were your scores? What did you use to study and review for the test? Let me know anything and everything that could help me land a good SAT score. Thanks in advance for help.
What is the SAT for? I went to that site you linked us too and took the practice questions, I got the sentence completions right. Like what does the test actually attribute towards?

So ... yeah.

If you want to sign up for the one in January, and the only one is on the 27th. Sign up before Dec 26th (the deadline) , I think. But just to be sure, you'd want to check on CollegeBoard.com

Taking the practice tests is never a bad idea; it's lame, but it can't hurt you. It's good experience. If I were you, I'd focus more on the ACT. At least when I was applying to get into college (3 years ago), most schools were far more concerned with your ACT scores, for a variety of reasons. Some of them actually told me not to bother submitting my SAT, they just wanted GPA, class rank and ACT. Good luck with whatever you take, though, stay relaxed and composed. You can take the tests as many times as you want, so you shouldn't even put any pressure on yourself.

I got a 750 on the math section because I rule. Missed 2 out of 58. I also took the real SAT. The 1600 one. I pity you guys that have to take the stupid 2400 one.
