    but no, obviously i got her some other stuff. but of everyone iv talked to...married people and non...they've all agreed that its a great present. you're the first person iv heard of having anything to say otherwise about it

    in fact, some people i talked to did the same thing

    but anyways, this thread is about allnet...back to him lol

    congrats man!! I took the big step a little over a year ago. Its an amazing feeling to wake up beside your "WIFE" and know that people call her by your last name. Still trips me out up to now!!! haha. have a great honeymoon!!! We went to japan!!!

    In marital tradition (not religion) an engagement ring cannot be considered a "gift" because that isn't the meaning to it. I have very little money as it is, but even I know that despite the ring I bought being well into 4,500 that isn't a Christmas present.

    I'm not writing to tell you to spend another few hundred, but perhaps you could actually think about it more creatively and buy her a pair of shoes or boots or something and then spring the ring? [​IMG]
