<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Sixers announced on Monday that they have assigned second-year guard Louis Williams and rookie guard Bobby Jones to their NBA Development League affiliate Fort Worth Flyers.

Both players have played sparingly for the Sixers this season. Williams has appeared in five games, logging a total of 15 minutes and two points. The Sixers selected Williams with their second-round pick in the 2005 draft. In two seasons, Williams has averaged 1.7 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 35 games.

Jones has played five minutes in the four games this season. He was acquired in a draft-day trade with Minnesota that sent a second-round pick in 2007 and cash to the Timberwolves.

?They can gain valuable playing time and also apply the things that they have learned with us,? senior vice president of basketball operations Tony DiLeo said. ?This experience will benefit their individual development and help the organization in the long run."

Jones and Williams are expected to make their debuts when the Flyers host Bakersfield on Friday, Dec. 1, at the Fort Worth Convention Center.</div>

Louis is gonna tear up the D-League.

I'm suprised they didn't put Smith down there. How come he hasn't been playing anyway?

I guess we haven't been seeing Smith get a lot of time on the court because we are really deep at the swing man position. Anyways, I'd rather have the guys stay with the team rather than going down to the NBDL. If they stay with the team, they will practice with NBA talent each and everyday, which will quicken their progression
