Earl Watson wants out of Seattle and it is reported that the lakers have shown interest in the UCLA guard. Phil Jackson is not happy with Smush Parker and feels that Jordan Farmar lacks the defensive capabilities and size to start. I think Earl Watson is perfect for the Lakers he is the consistent shooter and great ballhandler we need, he reads defenses well and is a pass first pg but can hit the open shot or create one when a play goes dead. Who do you guys think the Sonics would accept for him? What about Kwame Brown and Smush for Chris Wilcox and Earl Watson or Lamar Odom and Smush for Rashard Lewis and Earl??? ( this one is stretch Lakers might be giving up too much but the two players coming in fit better in the triangle.) any opinions

Damn that's exactly what I was thinking last night (watching Smush getting burned on defense) and Earl Watson came to mind. We do need to trade for him. Everytime I see Smush play I really believe his not an NBA player. He plays no defense what so ever and gets caught on picks all the time. I think Farmar played better last night and he made an effort by attacking the zone. I also think Farmar played pretty decent defense.
Let's trade Radman back to his former team for Watson! I remember the Lakers flirted with Watson when he was a free agent, but they didn't feel he was worth the asking price. You always have to wonder about PGs who bounce around the league and don't stick with a team. Watson is unhappy in Seattle because he feels he should play starter minutes. But the reality is Watson is not good enough to be an everyday starter. I'm also not convinced his skillset fits the Lakers, because Watson cannot shoot from the perimeter and will get killed on the pick and roll. I'd rather pursue a trade for Darrell Armstrong. Also what's the deal with Shammond Williams? The Lakers brought him in to play some minutes at PG, because he can shoot and is a decent defender. We gave up on Devin Green (who's the star for the DFenders), to keep Shammond on the bench. Really seems like a wasted decision at this point. I think the coaching staff should give him a look and see if he can rise up to the occassion.
The lakers could probably offer Smush and Cook for Earl Watson, and/or throw in Aaron Mckie's contract as a bonus . That would match Earl Watson's contract.

Lakers are pursuing Earl today. hope it's true.</div> Did they mention who the Lakers would be trading to acquire Watson? And even if his name wasn't mentioned can you just lie to me and say Sasha Vujacic is part of the package going to Seattle.
and he posted this... Lakers Pursue Earl Watson Seattle Herald (AP) After watching Smush falter in practice against a troop of zone playing midgets, the Los Angeles Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak decided it was time to upgrade the roster. After exhausting the last female member of the Buss family to recruiting Phil Jackson, Kupchak knew he needed talent from outside of the Laker organization. Trading a second round draft pick to Sacramento, the Maloofs sent a hostess from the Palms Casino. The hostess has since relocated to Seattle, where she has been seen discussing career strategies with Earl Watson, before and after each pole dancing session at a local gentlemen's club.
