Ray Lewis does not want to play for the Ravens in 2006

Ray Lewis no longer wants to be the face of the Ravens. It seems that Ray Ray is unhappy with the Ravens. The first thing that comes to mind it has something to do with the money but isn't me making about 7-8 million in the 2006 season? But don't get confused, this isn't something that just happens, it was built up ever since the beginning of last year. He requested if he could be traded. But the Ravens denied that because its hard to part ways with a player of his calibur. And now this year, he is even more unhappy. I don't personally know Ray, but I know why he is unhappy. He is the type of player who craves attension which is very obvious but doesn't want to make things public when somethings wrong. It seems that ever since the Ravens are turning into a subpar team, the Ravens organization is overlooked and falls into the category as "just another team" in the league. Now Ray regrets signing the long-term deal after the 2001 season. He thought that the Ravens were going to be "the team". He was also offered a shorter contract and if he accepted that one, he would be a free agent this year. It seems that Ray is not mad about GM Ozzie Newsome or the Ravens organization but because of his head coach, Brian Billick. And if the Ravens are going to put Ray on the block, the least they can get is possibly a late first round of a second rounder. But I hate to see someone like Ray, who has been the heart and soul of the Ravens, wanting to leave. But if he's unhappy, it's only right to let him go and make other teams happy. So I'll say it again...

Marvin Lewis is said to have showed a little interest but The LB core in Cincy is pretty much set unless they bring him in as well as a massive Nose Tackle and switch it to a 3-4 Defense.

It's hard for me to see that since they have a solid young LB core with Odell Thurman and all. But if they need help in the secondary, Will Demps is in the FA market.
