Keep your pants on buddy. He's great, but you're insulting decades of better point guards with that hyperbole

Not really.....he stated by the end of his career.....not right now...which is extremely possible.

End of his career. READ before you reply!!!! If Chris can stay healthy, he's going to be one of the greatest. MARK IT DOWN NOW! He made me a fan today watching him play.

In no particular order, these are the top point gaurds of all time

    stockton
    magic
    kidd
    cousy
    west
    payton
    isiah
    iverson
    frazier
    oscar robinson

i dont think that paul is going to fit in this category, any of these guys are far too good to be taken out of the top ten, unless paul racks up more points and assists then frazier, or becomes more of a defensive god then payton, then i dont see how anyone could consider him top ten.

There was another thread about this, but I could easily see Paul become better than Isiah.

How many point guards have made the impact Paul has in their first couple of seasons? He has another 10+ in him, could easily be a top 10 of all time by the end of his career, maybe even higher.

Okay, so Paul is a really good point guard. I mean 18 assists, WOW!

But, already saying that he will be the top 10 PG in NBA's history is not just a little too much. Its TOO much.

Does anyone read the thread before replying on JBB? No one is saying he is already a 10 ten point guard in history. What we are saying is by the end of his career.

Isiah? You have to remember that Zeke did win two championships, and played in the NBA's most talented era. Paul would have to pass Iverson, Payton and Frazier at least to get to Zeke.

I also don't see why Kidd's not up there.

Just compare his first two seasons with some of the best point guards of all-time. It's right up there and you have got to believe that he's bound to improve over the course of his career. I don't think we can really chart how high he will rank this early in his career, but its certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm in favor of taking Iverson off the list, since I don't think he's really a point guard by style of play, or by position for the majority of his career to date.

I read it, and the fact that you think I didn't read it just goes to show how narcissistic you are. In that case, I'm just going to go ahead and let you know that you are a moron. I was trying to be nice about it before.

No. Maybe YOU need to read what I said. I never said anything about career-ending or anything. I said "already saying he WILL be top 10 is too much." As you might know, the word "will" refers to the future. He hasn't proven himself YET to be predicted as top 10 when he ends his career.

I mean, do you know all the top PG's from back in the days?

<div class="quote_poster">Trench Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Apparently, they dont know how to read properly.. they read what they want.[IMG]</div>

    Apparently, you dont either.

Nobody ever said that YOU said "Chris Paul is top 10 now." You just seem to conceive it that way because we dont agree with you, or either you're just simply ignorant.

    Your exact words

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But, already saying that he will be the top 10 PG in NBA's history is not just a little too much. Its TOO much.</div>

...and no one is saying he is top ten right now. We are talking about at the end of his career. Trench said this...

    </div>

Again he is talking about when his career ends. If you read it then please show me where anyone stated Chris Paul was top ten all time as of this point and time? With a quote please...
