<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ben Wallace made a couple of charitable donations after the game in New York last Saturday.

Wallace was fined by the Bulls for wearing a headband in violation of team policy. But he was also fined by the NBA for his use of armbands.

The league made a change to its wristband rules this season, and Wallace was in violation by wearing two thin bands around his biceps.

?You can only wear one on each arm and they can?t be above your elbow,? Wallace said. ?It?s all right. I guess I know everybody?s watching.?

Before Friday?s game against the Hornets, Wallace sat at his locker with music playing faintly from his headphones, which sat on a nearby chair. Like most NBA teams, the Bulls have a rule requiring headphones when listening to music in the locker room.

Wallace explained that he prefers the music to come through speakers, because it allows for more interaction with teammates.

?When I have my headphones on, I?m in my own world,? he said. ?Nobody can talk to you; nobody knows what you?re listening to.?</div>

Why ban anything if its creating a posative atmosphere. Winning will cure all of these rules. when the moneys flowing in who cares what music or headbands are in the lockerroom. When the players are winning 60+ games a year the players can piss in their lockers and no one would care.

It's in place to create a sense of discipline in the locker room. The Bulls are not the only team with this rule. Anyway like I said it is not even about the rule itself any more, but how Wallace has handled this situation. When your being paid millions of dollars music and headbands should not be any where near your list of concerns.

It comes from both sides, IMO. Wallace definitely needs to understand the type of atmosphere that Skiles expects and recognize what's more important. But, so does Skiles. Instilling a sense of discipline in a team is important, but that discipline should be a part of the ultimate goal of winning basketball games. When you're sacrificing wins/chemisty for the sake of discipline (as Skiles is now), then it really doesn't mean anything anymore.
